“We visited this restaurant with my husband and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the white wine recommended by our waitress was absolutely excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. They also chose a lovely table for us, which made the evening even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily recommend this restaurant to others :)”

“Fabulous restaurant in Edinburgh's West end. A tudor style building decorated in lights set the tone. Upstairs to the first floor, lovely staff who were just the right amount of attentive. I had Pigeon breast for starters, followed by the steak. I asked for medium rare and it was near perfect. Big, fat chips as well. My wife had lamb, children, Salmon and chicken. All agreed it was delicious. Highly recommended. The red wine from Argentina was excellent as well.”

Customer Review Summary
Steak draws the most pointed praise, with one diner calling it perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, and another saying a medium rare order came out near perfect alongside big, fat chips. Wine follows close behind, from a crisp white recommended by a waitress to an excellent Argentinian red. Reviewers also name hake with lemongrass and coconut, pigeon breast, mussels, onion soup and lamb, and the two course lunch is described as great value and very tasty. Service is repeatedly called friendly and attentive. The tudor style building, the bright, cosy decor and the tall ceilinged upstairs room all draw comment, and portions are called generous. The one reservation comes from a returning diner who finds the food a bit pricey but worth it for the quality of ingredients and cooking. Two reviewers single out the table they were given, one a corner table upstairs. Another describes being too full after the hake but unable to resist the creme brûlée.
