About The Giddy Goose
The Giddy Goose is a pizza restaurant and wine bar at 2 Perth Rd in Dundee, decorated with flowers in a bohemian style. The kitchen bakes its pizzas in a stone oven and also makes burgers, including Giddy's cheeseburger with burger relish. Cowboy bowls come with a halloumi version, and garlic confit fries sit alongside the other fries on the menu. Drinks are served by the pitcher, which suits sharing around a table. Seating includes booths and a bottom floor area, and board games are on hand for anyone who wants to play. Tables can be booked in advance, and the doors are open daily. A festive menu is offered too.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the draw diners name most often, with reviewers calling it great and incredible, and friends of one unhappy diner also vouching for the pizza and drinks. Close behind is the friendly, welcoming staff, followed by generous portions such as the halloumi cowboy bowl, the garlic confit fries, and a burger with relish one reviewer singles out. The beer garden also earns a mention. Complaints center on slow service and uneven cooking. Several describe very long waits for starters and mains, and one waited a long while just to be asked about drinks. Dishes named as letdowns include dry, flavourless loaded fries, a steak like cardboard, bland cauliflower tacos, oily fries on a cheeseburger, and goujons and dirty fries with grey, overcooked chicken. One reviewer reports a fly on a glass and black flecks in the ice. Others call the small plates tiny for the price. Two diners describe being compensated, one with the meal and drink taken off, another by a supervisor after a festive menu arrived cold.

“Very nice place, family friendly spot, be aware small plates portions are very small for the price. 2 tiny pieces of chicken and sauce for almost £11”

“last time i came here the service was so poor. took a little while for the servers to come over and take our order. it was fairly busy when we came in but after over an hour and a half of waiting the place had emptied and we still didn't have our food. eventually it arrived and it looked nothing like the photos in the reviews I'd seen before. i got loaded fries and they were so dry and flavourless. the steak tasted like dry cardboard. it was at best, edible. some friends have gone again since and said the pizza and drinks are good so maybe just stay away from the rest of the menu to be safe.”

“Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, massive portion of beautifully sauced and seasoned food. Do yourself a favour and get the garlic confit fries, you won't regret it. Only docking a point because the poboy was HEAVY on the coriander but if that's your thing then go for it. Really lovely decor and a nice and clean, well maintained place. ♥️”

“The Giddy Goose is an amazing fusion of old school pub and hipster bar with the food offerings tying it together seamlessly. The food, especially the pizzas, are incredible though perhaps a little more on the pricy side, but definitely worth it! I had a fantastic time sitting out in the beer garden with some friends! I'd highly recommend!”

“Been here quite a few times, delicious hearty food. Had the pizza, fries and onion rings. The vanilla latte was AMAZING!! Definitely coming back. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. It was very noisy but that cant be helped so.”
