About La Boca Restaurant

Customer Review Summary
Staff draw the most praise, described as warm, welcoming and attentive even when the room is busy, with one server offering to take a photo and advising on cook times for the pork belly. Diners name the pork belly with crispy crackling, the tender lamb shank, the seafood risotto, the chimichurri shrimps and the nachos, and one reviewer calls the chips the best part of a meal. Cocktails and mocktails follow close behind, especially the piña colada, which one table ordered twice. The steak draws mixed reports. One diner calls it the best in a long time, while another found the risotto topped with four small, chewy, well-done pieces including gristle. A mixed grill steak arrived well done after medium rare was requested, and the chorizo had hard, bone-like chunks. A side of mac and cheese tasted mellow, and one reviewer finds the atmosphere loud. Birthday tables repeatedly describe staff singing and bringing out a complimentary brownie.

“Just had a wonderful birthday celebration meal at La Boca. First time eating there and will definitely be going back. The 3 course set menu was absolutely outstanding and so were the cocktails! Food, drinks and the service was absolutely top notch 👌 would highly recommend. They even surprised me singing happy birthday without prior knowledge of it with a lovely slice of brownie. Thank you Staff, you really made it very special Xxx”

“The staff are 10/10. Amazing service and food is good too. The mocktails are really well made and only £6 which is a change from other places who charge cocktail prices. I loved the drinks at the end. Like a reverse aperitif. We made our reservation a bit later than we are used to so I would love to come back at like 7pm to try again. I think we weee a little too tired to fully enjoy the atmosphere.”

“If you want meat, you should come to this restaurant and give it a try. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food is tasty. The cocktails are very good — we especially liked the piña colada and ordered it twice. The atmosphere is a bit loud, so it’s not the best place for a quiet, intimate conversation, but it’s still quite cozy.”
