Quick info
About The Wool Market
The Wool Market is a food court on Market Place in Doncaster, set in a former indoor material and hardware market that now holds street food stalls, bars and games in a single building. The stalls cover varied cuisines, including Korean, Peruvian and ramen, so the food runs well beyond one style. Two Don Valley stalls handle drinks, one pouring real ale and the other cider and fizz, and cocktails are served with a happy hour at some outlets. The games side includes darts, a big games corner, adult games and a small bowling alley, which gives the building an entertainment role alongside the kitchens. Live music plays on occasion. The Wool Market opens Wednesday to Sunday and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Diners return above all for the spread of food stalls under one roof, with pizza, Indian, Korean and Peruvian all named. Beef and gyoza ramen, a Nero Artisan pizza and the Korean food at Clapping Seoul draw praise, and a new Sri Lankan pop up is singled out as very spicy. Close behind is the drinking, with a pineapple cider, cocktail happy hours and two Don Valley stalls, one for real ale and the other for cider and fizz. Reviewers call the atmosphere laid-back and spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, and several say the food arrives fast. The complaints are specific. One diner who ordered chicken gyoza ramen from Catsu received udon and dumplings instead and ate none of it, and the same reviewer found the music very loud inside and preferred sitting outside. Another found little free seating at Saturday lunchtime until a space turned up after a wander. Several mention a big games corner for kids, adult games and a quick round of darts alongside the food.

“The Wool Market never disappoints. It’s the ultimate food court experience in Doncaster. We started our day here with a refreshing pineapple cider and a steaming bowl of beef & gyoza ramen. The food options are top-notch, the service is quick, and the whole place has a brilliant, laid-back energy. Clean, spacious, and perfect for friends or family.”

“Parking in the week is easy and is cost effective for me as I need to be in Central Doncaster for a few hours once a week. I have been to the Woolmarket for food and drinks before, and it is nice enough as people don't all have to eat, or drink, the same thing, as there are so many outlets to choose from. Some of them even do happy hour on cocktails. It is worth a visit!”

“I ordered chicken gyoza ramen from a place called catsu and they gave me udon and dumplings instead. The ramen was also not listed as spicy and I didn’t eat a single bit of it because I hate spicy food. The music at this place is also very loud and sitting outside was much better than inside.”

“Popped in for food and had a game of darts. Amazing food at the new Sri Lankian pop up. Very spicy not for the weak of taste! 🥰”
