  “This place is a pub that does food, I went to meet friends the staff were friendly and efficient, we did not have food but plenty of people were so that suggests to me the food is good”

  “Dropped in recently to Bawtry’s Pizzeria & Steakhouse on 3 Swan Street, Bawtry, Doncaster DN10 6JQ, and tried the classic Margarita pizza—simple, but always a good test of any pizzeria. The base was well-cooked with a decent chew and a light crispness underneath, which I liked. Tomato sauce had a fresh, slightly sweet tang, though it could’ve done with a touch more seasoning or depth. The mozzarella was generous and nicely melted, though I wouldn’t have minded a bit more browning on top for added texture and flavour. Service was friendly and the place has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. All in all, it’s a solid spot—nothing fancy, just honest, decent food. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.”

  “3/5 Stars – Decent food, but frustrated by menu rigidity ​Visited Bawtry's Pizzeria & Steakhouse and overall it was an okay experience, hence the 3-star rating. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was friendly, but we ran into an issue with menu flexibility which was quite frustrating. ​We were really keen to try Andy's Board but needed to request a minor substitution for one of the items. Unfortunately, we were politely but firmly told there was no flexibility for any substitutions at all. ​As this wasn't an option for us, we had to choose an alternative starter from the main menu instead. The food we eventually received was perfectly decent, but a little more willingness to accommodate a simple request would have genuinely improved our experience. It felt unnecessarily rigid, which stops me from giving a higher rating.”

  “Spent a month in Bawtry for work. I think I had about everything on the menu. The steaks, pizza, and burgers were all good. The burgers are massive. The chimichurri steak frites and teriyaki sirloin were both very good. They have a couples steak special on Tue/Wed - 2 pints or a bottle wine and 2 steaks. Should I be back in Bawtry in the future, I'll be back.”

  “The food was ok but for the price not as nice as I would of liked . But it was the service that it down after waiting 30 mins to then have to call someone to take out drinks order and again have to ask to order food and then hunt someone down to pay. Music was loud so hard to have a good conversation on a table of 6.”

  “Visited the restaurant yesterday with a friend who was visiting from Europe, as it had been recomended by my daughter who has been a number of times. We both ordered rump steak, medium rare. When it arrived it looked ok but when we started eating the steak was dry and tough when it should have been moist and succulent. The restaurant is not cheap and as such I expected the food to be much better than it was. I didn't complain as I didn't want to embarrass my friend, but I was very disappointed and won't be visiting again any time soon.”

  “This is a great bar and restaurant with different spaces in it with different moods some better for drinking some better for eating et cetera. Great quirky decorations which make the place really interesting and you will keep discovering new things to look at. Service was really friendly and helpful and prompt. Food was great, really tasty and the Sunday roast was sublime. Really enjoyed my experience here”

  “Perfect food with pleasant staff including the chef who is more than happy to chat to you regarding the food, fantastic experience and the food was great, cooked to perfection. I would definitely come here again. There was 3 of us in the group and I thought everything was reasonably priced, not too expensive, the toilets are nice aswell very classy!”

  “From the moment I rang and enquired about booking a meal for 15 people to the end of the meal itself the whole experience was impressive. 13 starters made and on the table ready in a timely manner. Waiting staff were very friendly and it was so nice to see the chief in full view making the food. Following the starters was 15 steaks which were all cooked to perfection. The steaks tasted lovely and each person in our group mentioned how they enjoyed the meal. Only 5 people had puddings but the people who did again said how impressed they were with the food. The waiting staff couldn’t be more helpful and the chef came over at the end to ensure we enjoyed the food. Highly recommended to any visiting Bawtry.”

  “Came here last night with my partner for our anniversary and the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We both had chicken to start and a steak for our main. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. 100% worth the 2 hour drive from Birmingham! Next time we’ll make sure to bring enough room for dessert. Staff were amazing too, attentive, polite and just generally lovely!”
