Quick info
About Itz Delhi Indian Street Food
Tiffin service shapes part of the menu at Itz Delhi Indian Street Food, an Indian restaurant in Doncaster town centre, where chicken tiffin, kadhi pakora and dal makhani arrive in a tiffin. Around 38 dishes make up the regular list, with biryani in Hyderabadi, chicken and paneer versions, and chole bhature ordered with gol gappe or other chaats to share. Starters run to onion bhajis with homemade dips, samosas and momos, while rotis and aloo paratha with onion pickle sit among the sides. Mango lassi, Indian tea and Indian semolina pudding close out an order. Weekly specials run alongside the regular menu, and the team will talk through the options if you are unsure what to pick. The restaurant is under new management, and tables are taken on a walk-in basis rather than booked. Outdoor seating is there for eating in the open air, and takeaway and delivery cover meals eaten off site. Opening runs Tuesday to Saturday, with Mondays and Sundays closed.

Customer Review Summary
Biryani anchors nearly every account, with reviewers singling out the Hyderabadi version, a paneer biryani that several compare to what they ate in India, and a chicken biryani described as soft marinated chicken in nicely spiced rice. Close behind sits the chhole bhature, called the best in Doncaster by one diner and paired with gol gappe and paneer hyderabadi by another. Also named across the reviews are freshly fried onion bhajis with homemade dips, momos, aloo paratha with onion pickle, samosas and rotis, mango lassi and Indian tea. Many mention the change in management as the turning point, and describe the food as authentic, generous and reasonably priced, arriving quickly and hot. Staff come up repeatedly as welcoming and willing to walk uncertain diners through the menu, and the weekly specials get a nod for keeping the menu fresh. One reviewer's favourite detail was the chicken tiffin, delivered in an actual tiffin.

“Indian street food is one of my favourite cuisines which I've tried in many different restaurants... Itz Dehli is definitely delivering! The menu featured many favourites alongside some new dishes to try, they also offer weekly specials which keeps things interesting. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. If you’re unsure what to order they’re more than happy to guide you through the menu. This place is a real hidden gem in the city that you need to try.”

“Fantastic food and lovely people who run it! We had a mix of dishes including some samosas, chicken curry, biriyani, rotis.. and all of it was delicious. Very reasonable prices and the food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Will definitely be returning, thank you for a wonderful lunch!”

“The best indian food I've ever had. Packed full of flavour, care and love. Each mouthful is an explosion of spice (not heat), from the freshly fried onion bhajis, with homemade dips - to the chicken tiffin, delivered in a tiffin! - and the star of the show for me was the chicken biryani - soft marinated chicken in more-ish and nicely spiced rice. WOW - the guy that runs the place is so proud to serve the food he does and rightly so - absolute flavour bomb 💥”

“Had a really pleasant time at this restaurant! The momos were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Indian tea was also spot on, rich and comforting just the way it should be. …”

“Hidden Gem Found: Surprisingly Stellar Indian Cuisine I’ll be honest: I walked into Itz Delhi with a healthy dose of skepticism. …”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
