About Bombay Nights

The curries include madras and tandoori butter chicken, and garlic naan comes as an accompaniment, with extra garlic available on request. Spice levels can be adjusted when ordering, so a madras can be made hotter. Food is cooked fresh, and a wait is possible at busy times. The takeaway opens evenings only, every day except Wednesday. “Had food here 3 times, i am new to the area. Each time fresh and really nice ! Had different curries and each time just gets better ! Will be returning again for sure, especially after our last experience. On our last trip my left his wallet behind and we was trying to look for it everywhere. We returned to see if they had it. They found the wallet and kept it safe. Also with everything left inside ! Not many places do this. This place has very honest people working here and cook amazing food. Can’t thank them enough for saving us all the trouble in card and licences replacement but also money was left inside and they would not even consider to take any for reward.”

Customer Review Summary

Garlic naan is the draw reviewers raise most, with one asking for extra extra extra garlic and calling it perfection, and others describing it as really nice or stunning. Close behind are the curries, including tandoori butter chicken, madras and chicken tikka biryani, with reviewers describing thick sauces and tender chicken. Several say the kitchen happily made dishes spicier on request, and one received a few extra popadoms. Chips are called huge, enough for two, and burgers also get a nod. Reviewers describe friendly staff and a fast delivery with a lovely driver, and one says earlier negative reviews were for the previous owners. A recurring trade-off is the wait, with one accepting that fresh cooking takes time at busy periods and another reporting nearly two hours for delivery, a mushy, drippy garlic naan and a flavourless curry. One reviewer describes a burger arriving plain, without the requested Hawaiian toppings, sauce or salad, and the family's other orders being wrong too. One reviewer also reports being sick after the naan. Another says staff kept a lost wallet safe with everything still inside and refused any reward.
