Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return to The Glasshouse mainly for big portions of pub food, with the pulled pork loaded fries special, the Sunday carvery with five meats and fresh vegetables, and a sea food platter all named, and onion rings described as the best. Several call the portions huge and the value good, and one praises the buffet at a function room work event. Staff are described as friendly, and one reviewer notes a draught Heineken Zero. The recurring complaint is the wait for food: one reviewer says it ran to 1hr 20, others describe long waits on busy Saturday and bank holiday visits, and one was told about the delay when ordering. One reviewer rated the food terrible and was charged extra for garlic mayonnaise, which the waitress found embarrassing. One suggests booking if coming for food, and another advises checking the specials board.

“I booked the function room for a work event and all I can say is wow 😍 The buffet provided was out of this world. Great quality and a great selection. Donna went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I can't recommend the Glasshouse enough. Thank you again to all the staff who made our event so good.”

“We really like The Glasshouse as somewhere to eat, our last visit was for a family birthday, food was spot on as usual but it was a long wait even though there wasn't a lot of people eating, I had one of the specials which was pulled pork loaded fries and it was a big portion, even though I eat it all I was stuffed afterwards. We always get some onion rings to share as they are the best. I washed this down with a pints of Heineken Zero, it's nice to get a pint of zero on draught. We will be back.”

“I real shame to leave a bad review the staff. And atmosphere are brilliant but the food is terrible not only this I was charged an extra £1 for garlic mayonnaise. The poor waitress was so embarrassed when she had to tell me about the charge. Great pub great staff crap food.”

“6 of us Popped in for lunch on Easter Bank Holiday Monday. Was busy and we had understandably a bit of a wait for food, when it came it was freshly cooked and tasted great, the portions are huge too. About average pricing All in all a lovely afternoon eating, drinking and chatting was had.”
