Customer Review Summary

Burnt ends are the most repeated draw, described as tasty, juicy and delicious, including a pork belly version one diner called the best thing they ate. Close behind are the brisket, called fall apart tender, and the short rib, praised for its smoky flavour and huge portion, though one reviewer found it slightly overcooked. Pork ribs with dry rub and the chicken burger also earn praise. Chicken wings draw the most complaints, with reviewers calling them tasteless or needing salt, and one wanting more sauce, while the cauliflower wings get credit for a crispy batter. Other gripes include uneven cooking, with one chicken leg perfect and the other very dry, a small portion of loaded fries, and a red cabbage slaw with no bite. One diner says the low ceiling makes the downstairs loud, and another waited a while for a main platter. Service is generally described as friendly and attentive, and one birthday table got a banner, a chalk board, singing and a free drink for the guest of honour.

“Fantastic bbq restaurant a 2 minute walk away from the orchard centre so plenty of parking. So glad someone recommended this place because everything was so good! Cocktails were great, chicken wing platter was the perfect sharer for us and the chicken burger and burnt ends were probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Trust me I’ve had a lot of chicken burgers!”

“My son wanted to go to a BBQ smokehouse restaurant so we came here to celebrate my son's 16th birthday, which was lovely! Staff were attentive, we didn't feel rushed, we were so full we couldn't manage desert/birthday cake! From the moment I called to book until we left, we were treated so warmly. Thank you guys! ⭐”

“1st visit here for fathers day! Was such a lovely meal ! We weren't fussed that we waited a while for the main platter to come as the flavour of all the food was amazing and worth the wait! Definitely going again ! Thanks so much !”

“My first visit here today and we went along at lunchtime on a Saturday without a booking and managed to get a table absolutely fine. The service was really good all round, absolutely faultless and they made sure we were well looked after. I ordered the pork ribs which came with fries, and the ribs were excellent, the dry rub was so good, I also had the starter wings, but these were not so good and rather tasteless compared to any other wings I've had, I also had the pork belly burnt ends and these were the best of everything, I could have eaten bowls more of there. My wife had the chicken burger and said it was very good, and a younger family member had the kids popcorn chicken and he enjoyed them. All round it was pretty good, apart from the wings, which were a little disappointing. There is an added service charge on the bill, but they do ask if you want it removed, but I think the service was well worth it. I'd definitely go back again.”

“Fantastic experience at Django’s smokehouse for my partners birthday last Friday. Very accommodating for a large table of 9 and service was very efficient, kind hearted and attentive. The food was excellent and everyone walked away well fed and very happy with their meals. Massively appreciate the team for making us such a special evening. They added some small extra such as birthday banner, birthday chalk board, they sung happy birthday and walked out the cake we brung along and even gave the birthday girl a free alcoholic drink! Amazing evening. Only small issue was the noise levels, I think downstairs the ceiling is very low and the noise rebounds all around from everyone’s conversations. They could definitely do with some acoustic panelling to help with that!”
