About Curry Nights
On Harriet St in Derby, Curry Nights is an Indian takeaway that reopened at 39 Harriet St after the original Curry Nights closed due to a fire. The menu includes chicken tikka and madras, with peshwari naan among the breads. A meal for 2 lets customers choose any 2 curries on the menu, plus rice and extras. A separate deal for 3 is built around a set trio of curries. Orders can be placed on the Curry Nights website.

Customer Review Summary
Set meals are the main draw, with reviewers praising a meal for two and a deal for three that fed five with plenty left. Saag, rogan josh and bhuna were each called delicious, lamb is described as tender, and one reviewer rates the chicken tikka among the best they have had. Several credit delivery for arriving piping hot, within the advised time and with a text saying it was on its way. Four reviewers are harshly negative, and their complaints are specific: a Madras that wasn't Madras, with fatty meat that tasted off, and a cheese naan described as a packet naan with cheese on top. Others describe overcooked chicken, a horrible sauce, dry rice, and curries floating in oil and freezing cold. One felt the food was frozen, and another got no answer when calling to sort out the order. Happier customers describe a missed peshwari naan brought round after a phone call, and rice choices changed from the order notes without fuss.

“With the original Curry Nights closed due to a fire, they have reopened in Harriet Street. The food is just as good if not better than before. We had a meal for 2 giving us a choice of any 2 curries on the menu plus all the other things you would expect, worth every penny.”

“AVOID!! AVOID!! Absolutely disgusting!! Madras, wasn't Madras! Had to spit the meat out. Not only fatty, but also tasted off! Cheese nan, just the packet nan with cheese on top 🤦♂️ Absolute waste of money!”

“Had a few currys from here recently and its definately become my favourite in the area. Ive only had positive experience with the food. We had the deal for 3 tonight with saag, rhogan josh and bhuna and all three were delicous. Fed 5 of us with plenty left. Value for money and all cooked really well. They looked on my notes and changed my rices too without any issue. You get alot for your money here. Saag is the my favourite from here”
