Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the walks around the reservoir and the views, with the cafe a secondary stop, and the ice cream is what they name most there, with one noting it comes from Bluebells. Coffee and hot drinks earn praise from several, and one reviewer calls the coffee exceptionally good. Visitors also mention the kids' play area, the dog walks and the picnic benches. Several note that barbecues, swimming and fishing are not allowed, and one regrets the fences that have gone up.

“Nice walks through the forest areas, kids park was decent. Parking was fair at £3.50 Bring your own food tho as the cafe is a rip off £2.70 for a 330ml can of pop, £4.90 for a sausage roll and £3.75 for a single scoop of ice cream”

“Absolutely disgusting and blatantly racist service from the older woman at the till. She was rude, abrupt and completely miserable towards me, my wife and our children. We stepped aside while we waited for the younger server, who was polite and friendly, give us our ice creams. We then watched the older woman serve white customers with a smile and a completely different attitude. After seeing the difference in how she treated us compared with white customers, I have no doubt that we were treated differently because of our race. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting behaviour.”

“Great little spot for a walk, shame you can't go in the water. The food at the kiosk is very limit d but they do some hot food. We got two bacon cobs with the smallest amount of bacon everywhere and wasn't great, the hot drinks were good. Ice-cream was nice but that's from bluebells so you know it will be good! Could do with more food choices as families tend to spend a decent amount of time here but overall a nice visit”

“Lovely place to just sit and take in the views. Lots of nice walks. And it's NT so we parked free as we're members. Nice cafe too.”
