  “I live just down the road and "Shav chippy" as we've always known it locally is the stuff of legend! I went today for fish and chips with gravy and wasn't disappointed, the fish was so fresh it almost swam down my throat, absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The chips were on parr and the gravy mixed with them just right, thanks guys and girls, proper beast of a feast that was!”

  “Staff charged me extra for mayo which was about the size of my thumb nail, isn’t good enough if you’re atleast going to charge me for mayo then atleast make it a half decent portion. My mate got mayo aswell and wasn’t charged at all. Honestly, probably one of the worst chippys I’ve tried.”

  “You’re food is usually lovely, but I asked for a spicy curry specifically and because I asked for that, I specifically reminded another man that he should ask for spicy curry, the girl working asked if that’s what I initially asked for and I said yes, and then overheard the man being told that there wasn’t much spicy curry so he got one of both, I was hoping I’d be at least okay as I wasn’t even notified, I’ve gotten home and opened up a fruity curry, I would have been much happier if you had let me know that you had run out as I wouldn’t have gotten a sweet curry in the end, let your customers know their options, it’s not a bad thing to do. The scallops (smacks for those local) were also very hard. The fish was most disappointing and was grey and had that old taste, which really disappointed me.”

  “Food is nice. It's not getting the orders right that really frustrates me. I would say out of the last 15 times we have went there has been something missing from the order 4 times now. Once I can understand that but to miss a item 4 times now isn't good enough. Staff need get a grip of this. This isn't a dig but I mean it to be constructive criticism”

  “Let's hope we just got them on a bad day but these chips were terrible. A jumbled soggy mess of potato with no flavour. The fish was also quite dry.”

  “Collected our chippy tea last night, and it was out of this world!! 😋 Brilliant social distancing measures, my husband said the collection was very smooth! 👌 Everything was spot on, the chips were beautiful, and so was the fish, pudding, onion rings, curry/gravy/peas... sausages for the dogs!!! We all had a right feast!!!! 😂 And got some for the Nanna’s too!!! Thank You!!! 💕”
