“We have been regular customers of Coral Reef Chip Shop for over 30 years, I don’t know if there’s been a change of ownership but standards have dropped dramatically as of late. A few weeks ago I had doner meat and chips. The portion was extremely small – barely half the tray was filled. At first I honestly thought something was missing, it was that light. We put it down to the member of staff being new to the job. My partner raised this the following week when she went in and the woman working there apologised saying they had received many complaints about the same staff member and food orders. She served us herself and we were as satisfied as ever with the food. However, today my partner went back again and was served by the same original member of staff and once again the portions were small. When she politely questioned it, another staff member (a different woman working alongside him) was quite rude and insisted they only do one set size and that was that, rather than addressing the concern which had previously been acknowledged by another member of staff. I’m Currently sat writing this review and thinking of ordering a takeaway. I’ve spent nearly £20 on a takeaway and I’m starving…. We won’t be going here again.”

“We stopped in today after work to try the ‘mother clucker’ chicken burger (I’ve been dying to try it since its release) and boy, it did not dissapoint!!! Best burger I’ve had in a very long time!”

“We had a large fish (pollock) and a standard portion of chips. The price was £9.70. The serving was HUGE and there was easily enough for both of us. Perfectly cooked, very tasty and not at all greasy. An excellent traditional chippy.”
