  “Outstanding restaurant, honestly I’d give 6 stars if I could. Housed in a really quirky old (Tudor?) building, the place is full of little individual tables and booths. The food was truly fantastic, both in terms of the very different menu choices but absolutely the dishes that the arrived were all delicious. Service also excellent, in no way obtrusive, but every time you needed something there was one of the team to get it for you. All that and the bill was pretty reasonable as well.”

  “Had such a great meal at Turmeric Gold! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — proper authentic flavours, nothing generic. The presentation was gorgeous too, dishes came out looking really special, not what you’d expect for a casual curry night. Service was spot on as well — attentive but not hovering, staff clearly knew the menu inside out. Honestly one of the best Indian meals I’ve had. Definitely recommend if you’re in Coventry.”

  “Hugely disappointing. Has always been excellent in the past. Main meal was chicken/lamb pieces and sauce. Rice/naan bread separate items on menu which I've no issues wirh. No atmosphere as we were the only customers.”

  “Absolutely outstanding experience at Turmeric Gold in Coventry! From the moment we walked in, the presentation and atmosphere were beautiful—elegant, warm, and inviting. The staff were exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure everything was perfect. And the food… simply incredible. Every dish was bursting with flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Without a doubt, this is the best curry I’ve ever had. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I couldn’t recommend Turmeric Gold highly enough. Five stars all the way!”

  “Yesterday evening I visited Turmeric Gold in Coventry and was extremely disappointed. I have lactose intolerance and made sure to tell the staff about it. We had to order our starter and main course together. I ordered the Chicken Dynamite as a starter. When it arrived, it tasted strongly of butter. I told the waiter, saying it tasted like butter—and even asked him to taste it himself. He said it might be plant-based butter, but after checking with the chef, they confirmed that no butter was used. Despite this, the food still tasted like butter. I only managed to eat 2-3 bites of the starter, and my boyfriend, who is also lactose intolerant, ate a little but then we both decided not to continue. For our main course, I had the 2 Way Jalpiazi Chicken Masala (vegetarian option with mushrooms) along with the Roaring Tiger House Special Biryani and roti. The mushroom dish also had a buttery taste, though not as strong. After the meal, both my boyfriend and I experienced stomach pain, nausea, and loose motions. We paid over £140 for this meal, and it was a very poor experience. On their website, they claim that don’t accept any dish that isn’t up to your expectations, yet they did nothing to change or replace our food. I was left very disappointed.”

  “Amazing food, the owner makes the effort to ensure the spices just right for individual palettes. Best fine dining in the Midlands. Beautiful decor and relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. It is pricey but well worth the whole experience”

  “The best Indian we have ever been. From the moment you enter Turmeric Gold you feel already why is the best Indian in Coventry and after having eaten there we would dare to say the best Indian in UK. We loved the building (700 years of history) the decoration (which take you straight away to India) and the food (the tastiest and delicious mix of the spices). The menu is incredible and they also have different experiences and vegan options. We cannot stop thinking how good and tasty the food was and what an amazing dinner we had. The staff made our experience even better and cared all along about our experience and comfort. A must if you are around Coventry and if not worth to go.”
