About Rose & Crown
Rose & Crown is a flame-grill pub at 262 Walsgrave Rd in Coventry, and dogs who come along have a sausage cooked for them on arrival. The kitchen cooks over open flames, with burgers on the grill alongside fish and chips and pie. Screens carry live sport from Sky Sports and TNT Sports, and boxing is among the fixtures advertised. A dartboard is there for anyone who wants a game between rounds. Tables can be booked for a set time.

Customer Review Summary
Lovely food and friendly, attentive staff are what most reviewers return for, with one lunch described as well cooked in a nice portion size and a Mother's Day meal called lovely, though a touch warmer would have suited that diner. The negatives are specific. A Christmas Day booking for two ran about an hour late after the table was squeezed into a corner, then the soup arrived cold, the steak came lukewarm and not as ordered, and a vegetarian meal turned up with pigs in blankets. A full refund and a free glass of wine followed. Another reviewer found the fish and chips unbattered and dry, and called the staff unwelcoming. One was told the advertised live boxing would not be shown after buying drinks, and one family received a parking ticket after not realising the car park was pay and display. Others praise the patient service, and one dog owner says their dog gets a sausage cooked on arrival.

“Myself, husband and 2 kids came here. We met my niece and husband visiting us. When we arrived the pub had kindly coned off a disabled bay so we could park i put my blue badge displaying in the window. I made them aware I was in a wheelchair before visiting. We went in it was really noisy shouting, it did take quite a while for the food to come. The food came couldn't fault it. Here's our issue when we parked we were not aware it was a pay and display car park. We are not from the area. My son has since been given a Parking ticket for parking in this car park. We have never had to pay for parking when we have visited a pub before. Sorry but we won't be returning.”
