  “09.03.2025 We popped into the The Artisan Bar and Grill for Sunday Lunch. Had chicken wings to start and the roast beef main. Well presented and very tasty. Attentive and polite staff. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. July 2026. Went back to the Artisan for a meal. We had the Garlic & Chilli King Prawns and Korean Pork Belly to start followed by the 10oz Sirloin and 8oz Fillet. All were cooked perfectly and very tasty. The staff were friendly and efficient. All in all a good evening.”

  “The food was nice and overall enjoyable, and the service was good — the staff member we dealt with was polite and clearly trying their best. However, there was only ONE member of staff on shift, which meant things felt STRETCHED and not as attentive as they could have been. We were also disappointed to find that the upstairs seating area was CLOSED and doesn’t open until 4:30pm. This wasn’t mentioned on the WEBSITE or when we booked, which was frustrating and MISLEADING. To make matters worse, we were seated at a couple of MISMATCHED TABLES right at the entrance of the pub, where people were constantly walking in and out. The area felt quite DINGY and didn’t make for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, while the food was good, the setting and lack of ORGANISATION really let it down. For a £265 BILL, this didn’t feel like good value at all.”

  “I always enjoy my meal and time in the Artisan. The staff are so helpful , and happy to help. The tables are always clean, never been sticky. The food has to be the best in Coventry. I enjoy the food so much it's cooked to perfection. Big praise to the chef He knows his craft well. I and my son had a lovely time . Thank you.”

  “I recently visited The Artisan with a friend for Sunday lunch, and we had a really enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is very stylish, with a great atmosphere that made for a relaxing and pleasant meal. We both ordered the chicken breast as our main course, and the food was absolutely lovely well-prepared and full of flavour. The overall quality of the meal certainly met our expectations. What stood out most, however, was the service. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. A 10% service charge was added to the bill, but given the level of service we received, we would have happily tipped anyway. The Sunday lunch is also good value for money at £25 per person for two courses. With nearby parking available, it’s also very convenient to visit. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return. I would highly recommend The Artisan for a Sunday lunch.”

  “We booked a table for a special occasion. Great menu and service. The menu had a lovely selection and the food came out quickly and hot. Good portion sizes too. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.”

  “Superb Sunday lunch - Scalops, though small, were perfectly cooked. Loads of tender roast beef and all the trimmings. Not a fan of Mozzarella cauliflower cheese (prefer cheddar). HUGE slice of Tiramisu. Drawback of semi-accessible table downstairs is that there is reliance on staff seeing you waving at the camera in the corner for service and waiting ages for bill etc. 10% Service automatically added to every bill, whatever size.”

  “I enjoyed the atmosphere and food here, it feels warm and homely. The servers were kind and welcoming, and the food was good and just slightly over salted. The one small complaint we had was that the food did take a fairly decent amount of time to get to us even though the restaurant was practically empty.”

  “We have visited this establishment a few times now for Sunday lunch which is so good here. This time my wife and I visited for one of their speciality " Mexican Evenings On The Terrace" What a great night we had, made better by a warm sunny evening. The price of £30 per person included a free cocktail each on arrival. We had the Tequila sunrise which on arrival looked great and they went down very well. We had a couple more of those through the evening. The main dishes included a Chilli, that had been cooking away steadily for 12 hours, which gave it a nice kick, and also a chicken dish cooked with red and green peppers and onions and a variety of herbs and spices which the chef was cooking in a very large pan on the sheltered terrace whilst guests were arriving. It looked and smelt amazing. On another table was arranged warm rice, Tacos, Tortilla wraps and a selection of mixed/chopped salads, jalapenos and dips to accompany the main dishes. It was a case of help yourself, have as much as you like as often as you like. We had a bit of everything and the food was really tasty. The waiting staff were very efficient and made sure your drinks orders were taken quickly, as and when required, and kept your tables clutter free. For the less experienced Mexican style diner the staff were on hand for a little guidance. To help set the atmosphere a professional musician meandered among the tables playing soft relaxing music on his guitar and occasionally making light conversation with the guests. All in all we had the most perfect evening. Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. All this from a little gem in the bustling city centre of Coventry. Its well worth keeping an eye on their website for when these speciality evenings pop up. Apparently they do different ones such as Greek nights too. Will give that a bash for sure.”

  “Return visit on 15th January 2023: 20oz T-bone steak at £25 each - absolutely srummmy. Great, humorous service, too. Truly one of Coventry's (not so) hidden gems. First visit: Fabulous experience for their Sunday roast. Three of us ordered the beef, which was the tenderest I've ever tasted. They will accomodate you, too, if you prefer it to be cooked well-done. Service was excellent and attentive but you must book ahead for Sundays as I witnessed them turning potential customers away due to being fully booked. Great all-round experience in this historic venue.”

  “This is one of the best if not the best steak I have eaten in a long time! I would rate it 6 stars out of 5! The service was excellent. The owners Claire and Lee (chef) were very hospitable and we had a good time chatting. I was most thankful that they kept the restaurant opened even after we went in at almost closing time. I would strongly recommend anyone who wants a good steak not to miss out on your restaurant!!!😍”
