Customer Review Summary

Diners most often return to the Carnivore Board, a sharing platter reviewers say comfortably feeds three or four, with tender lamb chops, a well-cooked steak, prawns, and sides like spicy rice and halloumi fries. One group found the platter short a bowl of spicy rice and the seasonal greens, and another took leftovers home in a lunchbox. Close behind are the Surf & Turf, where the kitchen swapped sirloin for ribeye and added firecracker prawns without fuss, plus garlic parmesan wings, a T-bone, and pancakes at breakfast. Cocktails and mocktails earn praise, and one large birthday party said the bar and wait staff handled every request. The complaints are about execution. One diner on a busy Saturday received a ribeye instead of the ordered 10oz sirloin, served warm, and chose not to wait for a replacement. Another found service very slow across a dinner for five, though the food was enjoyed. Reviewers describe friendly staff who made an old fashioned that was not on the menu and brought an anniversary table a complimentary shot.

“Outstanding dinner and superb service! I visited on a Monday night and was thoroughly impressed. Despite being busy for a weekday, the atmosphere had a great buzz and everything was handled seamlessly. I ordered the Surf & Turf and asked to swap the sirloin for a ribeye, alongside switching to the firecracker prawns. They accommodated the custom order without any fuss! The meal was incredible, paired with sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a fantastic peppercorn sauce. They also let me sample the chimichurri and cowboy butter sauces—both are absolute bangers and a must-try. Top-tier food, service, and atmosphere!”

“Myself & my family went for breakfast here for the first time and it did not disappoint! There was a really varied menu, something for everyone, and everything we had was delicious - especially the pancakes! The waitress was also really friendly and didn’t rush us at all. Definitely will be back to work our way through the menu!”

“Came here for our anniversary, 10/10 on food and service. We had the sirloin steak the T-bone and the wing roulette. Staff was lovely and even got a complimentary shot 👌🏼”

“August 2026. We went on a Saturday evening with friends. Thankfully we had booked as the place was full. The staff were welcoming and polite. I opted for the Garlic Parmesan Wings to start. They were delicious, as was the dip. Well done, a great starter. For main course I ordered the 10oz Sirloin. When the steak arrived, it appeared to be the Ribeye (see image) and was "warm" I ate it anyway as I couldn't be bothered to wait 30 minutes for a replacement. I had never had a Ribeye before, it was ok I suppose but I did miss the leaner cut of the sirloin. Would I go again? Probably yes but not on a Saturday.”

“Sear Grill House, Coventry We visited Sear Grill House for dinner and here’s my honest review… We arrived at around 5pm, so it was fairly quiet, although it started getting much busier by 6pm. There was plenty of parking available on the surrounding side streets, and the restaurant is easy to find on the main road. The food was really nice and everyone enjoyed their meals. The menu is on the pricey side, but the quality of the food was good. There were five of us, and the total bill came to £197. The biggest downside was the service. Unfortunately, it was very slow throughout our visit, which took away from the overall experience. That said, Layla was amazing. She was friendly, attentive and really stood out with her excellent customer service. 🤍 Would I visit again? Probably not, simply because of the slow service. If the service improved, I’d definitely consider giving it another try, as the food itself was enjoyable.”
