About The Beach Hut
The Beach Hut is a restaurant and cafe set on the beach in Cornwall, overlooking Watergate Bay. Diners walk through the inside room to reach the outdoor seating, which carries views over the sand, and dogs are welcome throughout. The menu leans towards casual coastal plates, with lobster aioli chips and a kids' mac and cheese served in a small bowl alongside the standard version. A 10% service charge is added to every bill. Inside, the toilets are kept spotless and well appointed, and the format suits both relaxed lunches and longer seaside meals.

“Fabulous location, great staff and excellent attitude. Food was lovely.”

“Expected more given the ties with the hotel and the great location. Food is not cheap, but fundamentally the place is let down by the quality of the food - lack of flavour or just inedible (the bao bun). On the plus side the service was friendly and attentive”

“Really cute spot on the beach. (You have to walk through the restaurant to sit outside and have views over the beach). The food was really nice. Our welcome was rather abrupt but apart from that the service was great. Update. Came back for dinner, really nice, the lobster aioli chips and mac and cheese were decadent!”

“Stopped by around lunchtime for drinks and was hoping to find something light to eat. The atmosphere and setting were lovely, and the staff were friendly. However, the prices were a bit steep, so we ended up just having drinks and a cake. I was surprised to find a 10% automatic service charge added to the bill, I'd prefer to decide that for myself. Not sure we'll be back.”

“underwhelming to mediocre, food was basic to plain terrible. can’t fault the location but the food was terrible. kids mac and cheese was simply a tiny bowl with no veggies like carrot sticks, 6yr old ate then asked for dinner. burger tasted cheap low quality patties. my scampi was ok but chips were tasteless frozen junk…. go for a drink it ain’t about the cost it was simply subpar”
