Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers single out the tacos, naming the pulled pork and crispy cauliflower versions as standouts, and several call the margaritas and mezcal the best in the area. Flavours are widely described as authentic, fresh, and reasonably priced, and diners note a cool, informal atmosphere with dog-friendly seating. One diner, however, describes the chicken and beef as tasting like supermarket filler and the guacamole as unseasoned.

“We walked in without a booking and although the restaurant is small they were able to accommodate us as long as we were finished with an hour and a half, which suited us fine. The restaurant has more of an informal cafe feel and a small-ish menu but the food was really nice and we were served quickly. As vegetarians we have struggled to find a lot of good options whilst in Newquay but they had plenty of good vegetarian options here. I had the crispy cauliflower tacos, the cauliflower wasn't very hot which is the only reason I have given the food 4 stars, but I think it may have been hot when it was plated up and was cooled down by the other cold toppings. Other than that the food was tasty and the cocktails were good too. When we came to pay the bill we realised that for every cocktail we bought one of the tacos was free, so that was a nice surprise and made the meal very good value compared to other places we have eaten in Newquay.”

“Hand down the best authentic Mexican I've had within my homeland of cornwall. I would come here every day it if wasn't for the 15 min journey from St. Columb. Absolutely delicious!”
  • Caroline Attfield
“Fabulous food, fresh and flavoursome and the best margaritas”
  • Asha Sabherwal
“The chicken and beef both tasted like supermarket sandwich filler meat, guacamole was just smashed avocado with no seasoning, the quesadillas are just tacos turned on thier side. Apart from this not being remotely authentic, the food itself was just terrible I cannot understand the number of 5-star reviews.”
  • Josh Greiner
“Really authentic flavours with some great Mezcal options. The pulled pork tacos were particularly delicious. Also very dog-friendly.”
