  “Popped in for an impromptu family meal following our daughter cup game at Steel Park. We are not from the area, so did not know what to expect. Despite not having a reservation we were quickly seated (7of us) and our meals came in good time and were delicious and great value for money. Would definitely recommend and will return if we are ever in the area again. Thank you!”

  “The service was perfect! I have never met a better waitress in this restaurant. Ligita is a smiling and professional person who helped us with everything we needed. I am disappointed that there are no proper takeaway boxes, only bags that felt more suitable for dog leftovers. I ordered a very well-done steak but received it only done... Apart from that, the rest of the food was good.”

  “I love this place. I had dinner with my family today. The food was amazing like always and worth the money. There are great deals every day. I was served by a lovely waitress, Ligita; the staff is so nice and polite. Our chef for today was Billy. The food was so delicious and the portions were good. The desserts were amazing too.”

  “We absolutely love coming to the Chequered Flag — it’s become our weekend tradition! The service is always first-class and makes us feel so welcome every time. A special thank you to Ligita, who looked after us last week and again this week — such a lovely, kind, and attentive lady. She really goes above and beyond, and her communication is just wonderful. The food has been amazing every time. Today we were told Serg was our chef — everything was fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for always making our visits so enjoyable — we’re already looking forward to coming back!”

  “Came in with family this evening for burger friday, great value and excellent service. staff were definitely rushed off their feet from the sudden rush but were still lovely to interact with and more than happy to accommodate us. even though a table near us were expecting their food in minutes despite the rush, food came out reasonably quick to a good quality, well cooked and hot. Thank you to the kitchen, Cezia, Cameron & Nicola for a lovely evening out and saving me cooking, big ted 😀”

  “I was greeted promptly on entry by Ligita and served with care by her. Ordered the rump steak sizzler which was cooked to perfection. Very relaxing environment and very friendly staff. Will visit again and recommend to others. Thankyou.”

  “helloooo! i’ve come here a few times over the years and i’ve enjoyed myself on every visit. really nice food and cocktails, i often get my food quite plain and it always comes out perfect. i had a mocktail today which i didn’t know they offered! always a chill vibe in here and it never gets too horrifically busy/loud, even for an evening. ample parking in the area, and a quick walk to other places such as the wetherspoon, garage and hotel across the street. staff are always so friendly and helpful also. food sometimes may take a little while to come out but it’s never an issue 😁”

  “My first visit to this pub. The stand out is the service because it is friendly and attentive. Plus, with a smile and a feeling of genuine care. The disappointment was the toilets because they looked like they needed a fair amount of repair and were more indicative of a nightclub than a restaurant. The food was tasty. Just small. I expected the quesadilla to be a big thicker and with more meat. Not reflective of the description on the menu.”
