  “I have been a few times to Newbridge and always enjoyed it until today. The service was disappointing. Slower than usual to take our order. The dessert menu provided was not very professional looking as the bottom of it was torn off. The waitress was clearly new to the job and was unable to answer questions that we asked or direct us to where to pay by card. Instead of asking one of her colleagues she just didn’t know what to do or say. I don’t blame the young girl but more feel sorry for her as there was a clear lack of training and guidance given to her which is very unfair to her. The bar man came across arrogant and portrayed a ‘couldn’t care less attitude’ when I voiced these opinions.”

  “Quite a large roadside restaurant catering for passing travellers. Reasonably comprehensive simple menu the food was well presented and well cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive all in all a nice place to stop if you want a quick lunch as you're travelling past.”

  “Emily is an absolute credit to the place, super helpful! The hostess also helped us get our table early, which was really great of her to do; unfortunately didn't get her name. Not the first time we've been, won't be the last!”

  “Fantastic meal and dessert, no complaints great quality food. Did read a few negative comments prior to meal but we found the opposite. Eat twice there on NW200 week, excellent Thanks.”

  “We visited here on Thursday 6th March 2025 without booking a table and got seated straight away by a lovely fella, the place was absolutely packed! We ordered the bbq burger and the salt and chilli chicken burger, garlic cubes and chilli and sour cream fries, all was really delicious! We then ordered the sticky toffee pudding and the cheesecake for dessert and they were presented so well and tasted so good!!! The Newbridge is having a 1/2 price off all food so our bill was a total of £23.70! Would highly recommend this place to anyone we will be back!!! ❌ SECOND VISIT ❌ Went back a week later and what a really bad experience we had, arrived at 6.40 told us to come back in 45mins as was busy that wasn't a problem... Got seated, ordered a starter came out in 10mins THEN...... they completely forgot about us we were waiting one hour and 15 mins for our main, waitress came over and said can I offer u a free drink as your waiting a long time we said no1 was drinking... So nothing else was offered not even a soft drink she just apologised and walked away, 4 tables came in after us and we're all served and finished and we were still waiting...... we ordered two steaks and my god they were like soles of trainers, garlic potatoes was dry, was like it had been sat under the heat lights for that hour and 15mins, we ordered an extra dessert and they didn't have the decency to offer even that free as an apology! Charged us full price for the dessert aswell! ( thought it was 50% off everything?) Was that disgusted with the place I didn't check the receipt to we were home) said to the wee girl when we were paying how bad the food was she looked at me with a I don't care face I just want home as we were the last two people to leave! While staff behind us was stuffing their faces with left over desserts! They also had a specials sheet and they spelt lasagne wrong on it... A weeks difference of staff was so badly run on our second visit! Staff all talking amongst themselves laughing and joking not caring for the customer, we were so disappointed”

  “I took my son here on Monday 23rd Feb, it was his 18th birthday, for a meal between him and myself. As soon as we walked in the door the gent at the front desk was welcoming and friendly. He showed us to our table and took a drinks order while we had a look at the menu. For starter we had, pork belly bites and brie, both where lovely and my son (who usually doesn't say much really loved the pork belly). For mains, my son had the double burger and didn't leave a pick of it so I would say it passed the test massively, I had the bourguignon, when I asked for this the guy said it was a great choice... He was not wrong, the portion was large but presented beautifully. The flavours where absolutely unbelievable. The meat... No knife needed at all, it simply fell apart and was cooked perfectly. For desert we both opted for the sticky toffee... I couldn't finish it tho, I had ate so much I was absolutely bursting at the seams..! The staff are so friendly and so happy to help and accommodate. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The restaurant as you would expect for a Monday evening was not overly busy so a pleasant atmosphere. Cosy decor and nicely placed lighting makes it perfect for a meal for two and even better for larger groups..! I am so glad we stumbled across the Newbridge and we have both said we will be back as often as we are in the area..! Cannot thank the Newbridge enough for making the end of the day the best part of the day..! If you are unsure of where to go to eat, give the Newbridge a try, you will not be disappointed 👏👏”

  “Visted 9th June. Group of x9. Seated in a nice long table just behind Entry Podium. Young waitress who took our order and was looking after our table was lovely. Pleasant & Professional. Young lady bringing food to the table however, needs spoken to regarding her attitude and approach to customers. Entire table felt the same way about it. Food overall was disappointing. Starters especially. Pork was basically all fat - no meat. Nachos greasy and saturated in sauce. Herb Crusted Cod very dry as was the Potatoes with it. All just poorly executed. Pics Attached. Great parking. Nice clean toilets. Lovely setting inside. Would we hurry back based on the food - unfortunately not.”

  “Food was okay. I asked for tomato instead of BBQ sauce on my pizza, but wasn’t given it. I also had the sticky toffee pudding (both the meals I had looked amazing), but it was hard and a bit chewy. It has a nice atmosphere, and is clean, but wouldn’t want to come here again. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the food wasn’t great.”

  “This place was recommended by a local, we were so happy with everything here! The menu is interesting, you can select a starter, entree, and dessert for the price listed with the entree. It was a good price for the quantity and quality of food! The gin bramble I had was delicious. The shrimp in the starter was perfectly cooked, and we both really enjoyed our entrees (chicken escalope and the salmon). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the manager Tee was especially wonderful! I'd love to return some day :)”

  “I went to Newbridge restaurant for the first time (June 2018), with my family for dinner we did not make a reservation, thought we did try to ring that night to see if they wear to busy to take none reserved customers, but we couldn't get through to them so we went anyway. It wasn't to busy when we got there and there was no problem with not having a reservation that night. We got seated and given the menu and there was no rush to oder, staff gave us plenty of time to oder are meals, and they came out at a reasonable time. The food was fantastic I had the battered cod fish, tartar sauce mushy peas with chunky chips. For dessert Chocolate Orange cheese cake.I”
