  “Subject: A 5-Star Gem! Beautiful Decor & Delicious Food What a fantastic find! We had an amazing family meal at Doğa Restaurant. The first thing you notice is the beautiful interior—it's modern, clean, and so comfortable with those plush velvet chairs. The stunning, large murals of Turkish landscapes (like the one of Cappadocia!) create a truly special and transportive atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of meze, and everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The proof is in our empty plates—we cleared every single one! It's a welcoming and stylish spot, perfect for a family dinner or a lovely evening out. We'll absolutely be returning. Highly recommended!”

  “Good food and value for money. Second time here so tried and tested. First time went for the platter and this time mains and a starter platter. Everything cooked well and full of flavour. Turkish wine also hit the spot. Service attentive and friendly.”

  “Nice atmosphere and food was good. Food came at a good time. The only thing for me was the waiter kept pass things over our food instead of going round to serve. Think simple etiquettes like that should be observed.”

  “First visit to restaurant after a number of takeaways, and we were generally very impressed. The restaurant was busy on a Friday evening, which underlines the popularity of this venue, warm welcome from staff. The food was delicious. A number of the staff appeared to be inexperienced which is very common within the industry at the moment, however they were very polite and enthusiastic which was nice to see. Only negatives were the addition of a 12.5% Service Charge to the bill (I didn’t recall seeing this detailed on the menu), a slightly disappointing wine list, expensive and only 175cc measures offered, which didn’t appear to be on the generous side, and no draught beer available, only expensive bottles. However we had a very enjoyable evening and look forward to returning again soon.”

  “Enjoyed a lovely family lunch yesterday, it is one of the most comfortable dining experiences I've had in Colchester. The lunch set menu is very good value for good quality food and generous portions. Really enjoyed the kunefe dessert. Warm owner and polite staff. I'd say it was the best Turkish food I've had in Essex having tried Turkish restaurants across the county - in the same league as Turkish restaurants in Harringey. I'll definitely be back.”
