  “I don’t really write reviews. I only do if the place it’s really really good and this place was amazing. The food was really great and very very tasty very cheap. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. I honestly could not have asked for a better place. I went to Colchester for the day with my Mother and the only place that we ate at this café and it was amazing now every time I go to Colchester I’ll be Visiting this cafe.”

  “A little gem on Osborne Street! We discovered Hosh Cafe on Osborne Street and what a lovely surprise it was. From the moment we arrived, there was a really welcoming Mediterranean feel, with a lovely little garden-style outdoor area that feels surprisingly peaceful despite being right on the high street, opposite the bus station. I had a continental breakfast and honestly, it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour, including the fresh vegetables. My friend ordered a burger, which was equally beautiful and clearly made with care. I also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, who explained that the food is driven by his cultural background and that he is bringing the flavours and cooking style of Istanbul to the cafe. You can really sense that there is a story and a genuine passion behind the food. The service was friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the cafe itself was very clean and had a lovely bistro atmosphere. There are plenty of places to eat further along Osborne Street, but Hosh Cafe feels different. It’s not about quantity or simply putting another burger on a menu. It’s about quality, freshness and food prepared with care. And that really does make a difference. They also offer Deliveroo, which is a great option if you want to enjoy the food at home. We will definitely be coming back. A lovely little cafe with great food, friendly service and something a bit different for Colchester. Highly recommended!”

  “What a wonderful spot for a delicious outdoor breakfast. We had the full Turkish/Mediterranean breakfast spread and every element was spot on. The eggs were cooked perfectly, accompanied by savory grilled sucuk, grilled halloumi, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese and olives. The jam and hot tea tied the whole meal together wonderfully. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. Will definitely be coming back. Highly Recommended.”
