Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the curries, with the keema bhuna, chicken shashlik, vegetable karahi and aloo gobi singled out, along with freshly cooked chapatis that several note come at no extra cost. Diners describe the food as not oily, full of flavour and very tasty, and a few say it arrives on hot plates. Service draws friendly comments, including a smiling team and a counter staffer described as extremely friendly. Portion size divides opinion. Some call portions ample or good value, while others say the fish pakora and onion bhaji starters were on the small side, and one diner describes curries in half-filled metal bowls that left the table hungry. Another reviewer says that on three visits a request for a spicy curry came out mild, and staff explained the kitchen has no fresh or dried chillies, only a spicy oil. One reviewer also mentions a noisy kitchen. A regular describes leaving with a full meal of curries, chips, pilau rice and five chapatis for two.

“Ordered from here for the first time tonight as it was a really good experience. The meal wasn't swimming in ghee/grease which is always a worry of mine when ordering somewhere new. The delivery took a little while but they've never delivered here so that might be something to do with it but it wasn't an outrageous wait. Everything was tasty, portion sizes were ample and they catered for a but allergy. We orded large and there is left overs to enjoy again! I will return in the future. We ordered 2 large meat currys, shamis, onion bhaji and some poppadoms and it came to £40 including delivery”

“The food is nice however the past 3 times I’ve been here I’ve asked the waiter to make my curry spicy, and each time it arrived mild. The curry’s here are like stew - nice and good flavour, but stew. They add zero spice. If I’m a customer and I explicitly ask for spice on 3 occasions and they don’t add any, and there is no chillies in my curry, to me that’s not a good standard of service. I complained this last time and asked them to take my food back to the kitchen to add chillies, they said they don’t have fresh or dried chillies in the kitchen, just a spicy oil that needs to be cooked into the dish…… no fresh or dried chillies in a curry house? Makes no sense to me.”

“Consistently high standard curries , my choice is Keema bhuna . Wife just had Chicken Shashlik and said it's the nicest curry she's ever had. Little Gem of Cleckheaton .”
