On Bradford Rd in Huddersfield, Anmol Sweet Centre is an Indian sweets shop at number 106 with an all-vegetarian menu made fresh. The savoury side includes samosas, served with chutney and imli sauce, as well as chole bhature and a thali meal with roti, saag and yogurt. The shop opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the samosas, describing them as crisp and perfectly spiced, with a kick of chilli balanced by fragrant spicing, and one says no other samosa comes close. Close behind are the home-style curries, with aubergine and potato named as the standout and the dhals running it close, plus the saag and yogurt, chole bhature and dahi bhalla chaat. Several call the food homemade and authentic, and note that everything is vegetarian and made fresh. The chutney and imli sauce get their own mention, as does freshly cooked paratha. Service is described as friendly and welcoming, and reviewers call the place clean. The one criticism is from a thali order, where the roti was a bit too stodgy while the saag and yogurt were hearty and satisfying. One reviewer ordering for a party of 30 says staff phoned on collection day to ask whether the food should be packed hot or cooled for reheating later.

“I ordered some absolutely delicious food from here for my daughter’s party, for 30 people. The customer service was brilliant and they called me on the day of collection to check how o wanted it packed and if it was to be collected hot or cooled for heating later on when serving. All my guests were really impressed by how delicious it was. Thank you to everyone at Anmol.”

“Huddersfield is lucky in having many outlets selling samosas, but Anmol's are among, if not, the best – the kick of chilli deftly balanced by fragrant spicing. There are other virtues, not least the home-style curries. Again, the spicing is balanced, but unlike the general run of takeaways, there's a freshness and originality to them. The standout? Aubergine and potato, though the dhals run it close. And where else to get freshly cooked paratha? All these are served by delightful staff. A little treasure.”

“Anmol Sweet Centre in Huddersfield has completely raised the bar for what a proper samosa should taste like. Fresh, crisp, perfectly spiced, and absolutely bursting with flavour — these are genuinely the best samosas I have ever had. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite. Friendly service, consistently high quality, and food that speaks for itself. A real gem.”
