About The Old George Inn
The Old George Inn is a pub on Clarks Hay in Cirencester, set beside the River Churn. A children's play area at the back has chickens roaming nearby, which gives families a reason to stay outdoors. Inside, the refurbished bar has a natural stone floor. A redesigned lounge bar off to the side has its own working bar and a sofa area. The menu includes steak pie and a kofta flatbread, with other flatbread dishes alongside. Dogs are welcome inside the pub as well.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, with several describing a server who made them feel like locals and one noting a waiter who looked after a table with constant attention. The food comes close behind, led by the steak pie, which one diner calls full of flavour and filling, and the kofta flat bread, described as so filling that dessert was still a must. Others praise the flatbread dishes generally, and one mentions half price puddings on a Tuesday. Diners also like the beer selection, the beer garden out front, and the play area at the back where children can see chickens. Dogs are welcome, and one visitor brought a mini dachshund. Food arrives quickly according to one reviewer, and another found parking easy. The only shortfall is minor: one visitor could not order food on a Sunday because the kitchen stops serving at 14:30, though the menu looked good to them. One couple liked their evening meal enough to return the next day.

“We had such a wonderful experience! The service was amazing, and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. Dave & Abby served us and they were lovely as well as all of the staff, made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was perfect from start to finish. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! A million star pub ⭐”
