About Toro Lounge
Toro Lounge is a lounge bar at 34 Cricklade St in Cirencester, open daily. The menu pairs Sri Lankan curries with the lounge's own food and drinks, so a table can order curry and bar dishes in the same round. Vegan dishes are part of the menu, and the kitchen also cooks for guests who eat meat. Gluten-free food is available, and the team takes care when orders come in, with allergies and dietary preferences handled at the point of ordering. Guests can order from their table by QR code or go straight to the bar. A sister branch operates in Lewes.

Customer Review Summary
The caveat comes from two three-star reviews. One diner describes signing in to the WiFi with a lot of personal data to order by QR code, then being asked about a tip without having been welcomed. Their drinks arrived late and were not what they ordered. Another found the food not to their taste, though they praised the service. One diner describes being greeted at the entrance and shown how to order.

“Specialises in Sri Lankan curries, we had the standard English cottage pie with fresh veggies and my wife had grilled tuna with rice. Both were delicious and well cooked. Service was prompt and attentive. The background music pop playing at the time of our visit was from the late fifties to early sixties, which seemed strangely apt. Very enjoyable evening.”

“Absolutely amazing place. The staff are super friendly and helpful. You can order from your table or via bar. The menu has a lot to offer for all tastes and really well priced and they cater for allergies and preferences. There is indoor and outdoor eating balcony that can seat many, this gives great options especially on a nice evening, and the decor was fun and anything but boring giving the place its own vibe. Best food I've had in the area genuinely well worth the visit.”

“Loved this place so much, came in with my goddaughter today and I had never been before the lady who saw us enter was so welcoming and explained how to order. Just set the tone for the lunch too, food was bloody marvellous and tasty and love their roof terrace too on a beautiful sunny day. Every single staff member was lovely. Would so come here again!”

“We honestly were underwhelmed with the Toro Lounge. Our initial contact from the counter as we entered was friendly but suggested simply to find a table and order using the QR code. To do this one needs to sign in to the WiFi network which demands a whole pile of personal data, but that done we placed our order. The nag here was the cheek to have a question about adding a tip, what for I ask, what service was provided? We had not had anyone even welcome us. Whilst they were not busy the time taken to deliver our very simple order did drag out, but when it came it was quite satisfactory. However, 10 minutes later our drinks had not arrived so we asked and they came, but not what had been ordered about ten minutes later. We will not be returning”
