  “first time visiting. really liked it. We had fish and chips and the fish burger. really well cooked and decent plate full. views are incredible. felt silly that I had to double check it was the IOW needles I could see. Service was amazing, sorry I can't remember waitress name but super efficient. checked on us several times. The food came out really quickly. definitely recommend going .”

  “Went on Friday 10th July. Food alright.... just (have been before when it was much better). Menu great if you like pre-cooked pulpy chips. Presentation .... well most of us could do better at home. My fish was the size of a large sardine... (in fairness on other plates the fish being brought out were larger). Can eat food like what is offered cheaper (3 main meals, a bottle of wine and 2 pepsi maxes approx £110) and better quality in most of the country. Wont go back to eat. The place can and SHOULD do better.”

  “Was served by a lovely waitress called Kylie her service was outstanding introduced herself all our needs were met. We have been here before we have never been checked back once our food has arrived at the table we was today. Kylie took the time out to get to know us as she did with others around us, by doing this she wished my wife a happy birthday. Exceptional service then at the end to find out she was on trail well I would have thought she had been there for years.. fantastic experience and will be returning and hopefully Kylie is there”

  “We visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon, but the experience didn’t match the prices or the expectations set by the menu. The chef was kind and attentive to an elderly customer who appeared to need extra support, which was nice to see. However, service elsewhere suffered. A large nearby table remained uncleared for about an hour after leaving, making the dog-friendly area feel cramped and untidy. We expected a reasonable wait because the menu states food is cooked to order. However, when it arrived, some chips were still undercooked in the middle and seemed like frozen oven chips rather than freshly prepared. The fish was good. During the meal, nobody checked on us, offered another drink, or asked whether everything was satisfactory. After finishing, we waited about an hour to get the bill, no one asked about coffee or dessert (not that we would have bothered based on the service). We also overheard the chef complaining to front-of-house staff about clearing tables, which felt unprofessional. The menu states a 12.5% discretionary service charge is added to the bill. Had it remained on, we would have asked for it to be removed, as the service did not justify it. Overall, there were some positives, but the service was slow and disorganised, and the food quality did not consistently justify the prices or menu expectations.”

  “Our party had a wide range of dishes, no complaints and good all round. My battered fish was incredible, and the burger was nice. The chicken schnitzel was alright, nothing too spectacular. The fries were ok not incredible though. Service was good too. However, the prices are very steep, and while yes you do pay for the location, it is probably 3-4 pounds per dish too high.”

  “We have been to the takeaway part of this restaurant and absolutely loved it every time do we decided to have lunch. So lunch is not cheap. You are looking to pay between £16-£25 for a main meal - starters are around £12. We got our meal and I would say it was great in some places but not great in others. My chicken burger was tiny - I think that’s the smallest fillet and burger bun I have ever seen!! They do give you almost a potato’s worth of Chips so you get filled up by that - but really didn’t really find that acceptable for the price of the meal and then one of our fish and chips was well over done as you can see in the pictures and it detracted from the taste of the fish. This was a huge shame and to have such a discrepancy in inconsistency is not great! It shouldn’t have been served the fish - but it was and we paid £18 for the privilege. I don’t think we would use this part of the restaurant again. It’s a shame - because I was so looking forward to it. The staff were great though and you could have access to free water. The milkshakes were finished in two seconds flat - the glasses look impressive but they actually hold a micro amount of liquid! I know it’s tough out there with finances etc - we could have forgiven the meagre portions - but the fish was one step too far - we shouldn’t have paid for a kitchen mistake.”
