About The Jetty Restaurant
The Jetty Restaurant is a fine dining and seafood restaurant at 95 Mudeford in Christchurch, with harbourside tables that look out over the harbour. The kitchen runs a Seasonal Set Menu alongside a Mini Gastro option, and the full menu lists 17 dishes. Seafood sits next to fillet steak, so the choices cover more than fish. Festive dates have their own menus, including a New Year's Eve dinner. Tables are set fairly close together, which suits a full dining room.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food, calling it excellent, delicious and very tasty, and many pair it with views over the harbour, especially from a sunny harbourside table. Service is described as brilliant and very good by most, with one diner singling out the attention to detail of the person who waited on them and another saying it beat places charging the same or more. The criticism centers on service lapses and comfort. One couple who were welcomed warmly say they were then ignored, never asked how their food was, and had to wave down a manager for the bill and again to pay. Another reviewer finds the acoustics make conversation difficult and wants more soft furnishings, and a family of five found their table tight while larger tables sat empty. One diner's fillet steak, ordered medium, arrived well done and dry, and after complaining he chose to have it removed from the bill rather than replaced.

“Incredible service and food. Great views during the day. A wonderful place to go. Fantastic location with views over the harbour. My only criticism is the noise. It's incredibly difficult to talk and hear one another due to the acoustics. They really need to sort it out. More soft furnishings desperately needed to absorb the sound. It's probably fine when the doors are open.”

“The food is okay and the price is reasonable, but the service felt selective. A manager (I think) in a blue suit seated us and was very welcoming, but after that, we were completely ignored. We watched our server look after the tables around us—dusting crumbs and refilling water—but did not check on us once, not even to ask if our food was okay... We had to wave down a manager just to get our bill and again to pay. We just popped in for some harbourside seafood, but left disappointed. We aren't from the area, so we didn't know the restaurant considers itself "fine dining” we just came based on the reviews. Honestly, we have had much better service at casual spots. We would have been even more disappointed if we planned this for a special occasion. wouldn't recommend it unfortunately.”

“Fantastic spot, especially if it's sunny and you have a table by the harbourside. Food is good quality and service is impeccable, especially compared to other locations that charge the same or more!”

“Took my wife out for birthday meal and my fillet steak which was ordered medium came cooked well done and very dry. Complained and told I could have a replacement or it could be removed from the bill. I chose the latter as otherwise I sit and watch my wife eat hers. This isn't good enough in what is an expensive restaurant. The steak should never have arrived on the table. It was obviously left under a heat lamp or something. Disappointed. Meal without my steak being removed would have been over £200. Expect better.”
