Customer Review Summary
Coffee comes up most, from a vanilla iced latte to one traveller's verdict of the best breakfast and coffee in over a month. Cakes follow close behind, with a raspberry Bakewell and a lemon drizzle called yummy. The huge king-ton breakfast and a sausage and egg sandwich also draw praise. Reviewers repeatedly describe the owners and staff as welcoming and friendly. A group of cyclists found the owners welcoming, and one visitor who arrived just before lunch service ended found nothing too much trouble. Several mention gluten free, vegetarian and coeliac needs being handled knowledgeably, with one saying almost anything on the menu can be eaten safely. One reviewer recommends the scampi and calls it a nice place for cream tea, though adds that booking is needed. Locals describe a community meeting place with plenty of return customers, and the details they single out are the Friday fish and chips and the pizza nights.

“What a great place, we were on our way to another cafe but drove past, saw this cafe and turned around and glad we did. Had the king-ton breakfast and it was huge. Don't drive past, stop and eat, you will not be disappointed.”

“Lovely little local cafe that use to be the ‘Top Shop’ in the village. The owner, Gavin, has turned this into a great cafe and community meeting place. Good food, great cakes and coffee. Their fish and chips on a Friday are simply delicious. And look out for the pizza nights too.”
