About The Two Brewers
At 57 Lambourne Rd in Chigwell, The Two Brewers is a pub with a large open fire and cask ales at the bar. Live bands play on selected evenings, and drag shows join the line-up. The building has a separate pub side and restaurant side, so drinks and a meal can each have their own space. The kitchen serves fish and chips, and the Sunday roasts include slow roasted shoulder of lamb and a veggie Sunday roast. Gluten free and dairy free options appear on the menu. A private dining room gives groups a place of their own, and dogs are welcome. The forest is a short walk away.

Customer Review Summary
Food is the main draw at this village gastropub, with reviewers singling out the fish and chips for its enormous portions, along with a slow roasted shoulder of lamb, a Malaysian curry, a crispy beef salad, a duck salad and veggie Sunday roasts. Close behind are the starters, which one wedding party called irresistible, and options for gluten and dairy free diets. Diners also praise the friendly staff, the cosy pub side over the restaurant side, and the bar areas where dogs are common. Live bands and drag shows draw a buzzing evening crowd, and the beer garden gets mentioned as a spot to relax. The one recurring complaint is pace: a reviewer found service slow and the food long to arrive even when the pub was not busy, though the pleasant atmosphere made up for it. One pair stayed chatting for six hours and never felt they had to leave.

“Always a lovely, cozy atmosphere in here. Prefer sitting on the pub side as opposed to the restaurant side. Went for a catch up with a friend and we stayed chatting for 6 hours. Never felt like we had to leave plus they have the best veggie Sunday roasts in town!”

“Four sisters on the way to Norfolk stopped for the most amazing slow roasted shoulder of lamb on a beautiful Sunday lunchtime. We were so glad we chose the Two Brewers! “A lovely, traditional pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome. There's a great selection of beers, ales, spirits, and other drinks, so there's something for every taste. The beer garden is a real highlight—spacious, well-kept, and a great place to relax, especially in the warmer months. They also have live bands on selected evenings, creating a fantastic atmosphere without losing the pub's traditional charm. The food is very good, with a varied menu offering plenty of choice, whether you're after a light bite or a full meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, and service is always welcoming. A great local pub that's well worth a visit for a drink, a meal, or an evening of live music. Highly recommended”

“Food was lovely and the vibe was cosy and relaxed. Service was slow although it wasn't very busy. The food took a long time to arrive. However, it was not a huge problem as the atmosphere was very pleasant.”
