Customer Review Summary
Live music and Saturday karaoke draw the warmest praise, with one reviewer enjoying a mix of singers and abilities rather than a talent-show crowd. Close behind are the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff, good Guinness, sensible prices, and a pool table alongside football on TV that does not take over the whole pub. One reviewer calls it a true old fashioned local with a very Irish feel. The criticism is sharper and comes from several visits. One reviewer describes a packed, rowdy night with men causing problems inside and in the garden, and reports hearing racist jokes. Others cite a rude man behind the bar, delayed food, a bar worker who knew little about beverages, and no food or juice for mixers. One reviewer thinks the pub has closed down, and another read the members only signs and walked to a different pub.

“What a shambles!! When we arrived the place was full of travellers screaming and being crass. Even heard a few racist jokes which was disgusting. We had to sit on the wall outside as no room for anyone else but the large number of men causing problems both outside in the garden area and inside. Brown haired man behind the bar is so rude to both staff and customers. No food available and no juice for mixers. A travesty of a pub with not a hope in hell of surviving at this rate”

“Can't tell you much about "a local boozer" as all the signs said members only, which seems strange considering the location, how hard it is to get passing trade, to then exclude passing trade!? Having drunk here in my youth, I was looking forward to a revist, having found out recently that you where open again, but alas no. So turned round and walked back to the nearest boozer I was welcomed, oneils and jonos. If you are genuinely "members only" i suggest the you up date sites accordingly, so as not to waste people's time.”

“Saturday night karaoke with Linda as DJ. A pleasant variety of singers, songs and ability making the experience much more enjoyable than the X Factor wannabe fest that so many karaoke nights turn into. Excellent service from the bar staff ( Rob ) kept everyone well watered. A great little venue that is underappreciated but is well worth the visit.”
