  “Went with my niece last night. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Staff were welcoming, friendly and just gave us what I feel was the right amount of attention whilst we were eating. Spoilt for choice in what to eat and so I'm going to have to return very soon”

  “Lovely restaurant with friendly service located in the centre of Cheadle. The food is great, simple but lovely food. All clearly fresh cooked and tasty. Portion sizes excellent. Service is friendly and welcoming. We will absolutely be eating here again”

  “Family meal at Yara last night and cannot fault it. Was immediately made to feel welcome, the service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious.We arrived early, at 6pm. By time we left(8pm) it was packed out, great atmosphere. Highly recommended, so glad we found it, will definitely be back”

  “I am absolutely APPALLED at what I experienced today! I left this restaurant feeling really uncomfortable. The atmosphere among staff felt tense and unpleasant, which definitely affected the overall experience. The waitresses themselves were absolutely lovely, polite and doing their best but it was clear that they seemed under pressure and not being treated particularly well. What made me especially uncomfortable was hearing concerns about how the staff are treated. From what I understand, despite customers leaving generous tips, staff are only given £1 an hour for tips which is completely unfair. I was also uncomfortable hearing that female staff are being pressured into wearing skirts even when they don't feel comfortable doing so which is completely unheard of. This is clearly a management issue that needs to be resolved. The waitresses deserve a lot of credit because they were very kind and professional despite what seemed like a very difficult working environment. Sadly, the atmosphere behind the scenes left a very bad impression and I will not be returning as I can not support a business that makes their staff feel so uncomfortable! I can only hope that these issues will be resolved because these staff deserve better !”

  “There’s been a noticeable drop in quality lately. The food feels more like standard Rusholme takeaway now rather than what this place used to be. Even the salad, which was once finely prepared, now looks rushed and poorly cut. The mutton was chewy and lacked flavour. Overall, it just doesn’t match the previous standard.”

  “Me and my wife love yara. Mostly used it as a fancy takeaway. But eating in is just a delight. Great salads. Amazing cooked meat. Left full. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

  “We visited Yara for a birthday meal and was not disappointed. We parked round the back and didn't realise the big conservatory was part of Yara and an additional entrance until we were seated in there. It was really busy but staff seated is quickly and came and took our orders fast. We had cheese and spinach boreks - which were out of this world, really fresh and full flavoured, fattoush - finely sliced salad in olive oil, lemon juice n parsley possibly but so fresh alongside a spicy hummus with minced lamb and flat breads followed by the sea bass with chips, chicken kabseh which was really unusual it was saffron rice with grilled chicken baked into a block with aubergine and a yoghurt sauce, such an unusual dish - a first for me but would definitely have again and Palmyra lamb stew with shami rice, as usual eyes bigger than could possibly manage so they kindly wrapped up for us. Great selection of drinks and I think can take own n pay a corkage fee. Would definitely go back x”

  “Recently discovered. Been back twice already. Food is lovely and imaginative. The cuisine is from two main cultures and offers most you'd expect from a regular british restaurant. Did I mention the food was delicious? Ample portion sizes too. Excellent service from the young waiting staff. They'll go far in life. Five stars from me. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

  “Yara has become one of my absolute go-to spots. I eat here multiple times a month and it never disappoints. The quality of the food is consistently incredible, every single time. Whether you’re popping in for lunch or a more relaxed dinner, the dishes are always fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The lunch menu especially stands out, it has such a great selection, and the service is unbelievably quick. From ordering to having the food on the table, it’s always fast without ever feeling rushed. Perfect if you’re short on time but still want a proper meal. It’s also one of the best places around to try Lebanese cuisine. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re already familiar with the dishes or trying it for the first time. On top of that, the manager is always so friendly and welcoming . Nothing is too much trouble, and they’re always happy to accommodate any requests. Can’t recommend Yara enough. If you’re looking for great food, warm service, and a genuinely lovely dining experience, this place is a must.”
