Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what reviewers return to most, with flat whites and iced flat whites described as good or great, and one calling it fantastic even while criticising the pastries. Close behind is the cake: a lemon drizzle described as moist and tangy, an earl grey cake, and a 3 milks cake one reviewer called the best they had tasted. Friendly service comes up repeatedly, along with a calm atmosphere, a layout that accommodated a pram, and more seating outside than in. The caveats are mixed. One regular says the pastries have shrunk and the selection looks sad while the price stayed the same, and another finds the food a bit pricey. A one-star review describes slow service, a soggy brownie that was binned, no still bottled water, and no filter or batch brew, with an insipid Americano offered instead. Another says most staff were not keen to engage. One reviewer ordered a full English and a jacket potato and found both hearty and well made, with generous portions.

“The coffee here is honestly amazing, and being right next to work is a huge bonus! I used to get pastries here all the time, but unfortunately I feel the quality has really gone downhill, which is such a shame. They used to look so fresh and inviting, whereas now the selection feels quite sad. The fact that the baked goods are noticeably smaller but still the same price is also disappointing. The coffee is still fantastic, but I really hope the pastries get back to how they used to be!”

“Parkside cafe is awesome place to go. Gorgeous coffee and very delicious 3 milks cake, my god. Best cake ever I have taste! Hope I will see 3 milks cake again when I plan to visit again.”

“We came in this morning for iced flat whites and an earl grey cake. The atmosphere was calm, and the staff and cafe layout were both very accommodating to a pram. Coffee was served in good time, staff were very friendly, and the cake was great. We would visit if we're ever in the area again.”
