Quick info
About Chill #2
Chill #2 is a coffee shop, bar and lounge at 2 Station Sq in Cambridge, on the ground floor of a hotel next to the train station. A screen shows the train schedule, which suits anyone fitting a drink around a journey. Tables are numbered with spoons instead of cards. Seating includes high and low seats and window seats, with plenty of room for groups. The coffee drinks are joined by a hot chocolate menu organized by type of chocolate. On the food side, pizza is made fresh to order, and Eggs Benedict is served at brunch. The kitchen and bar stay open late in the evening, which makes it an option for late-night visits. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Brunch and breakfast draw the most praise, led by eggs Benedict, with perfectly poached eggs and creamy hollandaise in one account and salmon in another, though one reviewer found an egg overcooked. Coffee drinks come close behind, including a wonderful latte and a delicious mocha that was not overly sweet. Others single out a tasty cranberry turkey sandwich and a juicy, refreshing Greek salad. Pizza divides opinion. One reviewer especially recommends it and another calls it a decent size, while a third compares it to university cafeteria pizza and a fourth waited 25 minutes for a fresh one. Service is the main complaint. Many describe the staff as friendly and helpful, but one says they always check with managers even on basic questions, and another notes empty tables left with old mugs and bottles. Reviewers like the laidback seating, the ample sockets, and the spot by the station, where a screen shows train times and spoons mark the table numbers.

“Nice vibe and good coffee, also open until late which is rare for Cambridge where most coffee shops close early. What I don't really understand is why all the empty tables have left over coffee mugs and empty bottles, it's not very welcoming and doesn't require too much effort to collect (especially as the place is fairly empty today). Other than that one of my favourite places in Cambridge, and also has nice AC on a super hot summer day.”

“Conveniently located by the Cambridge train station with a good selection of drinks. Nice atmosphere too and lots of different seating options and a good cafe to get work or socializing in. Cranberry Turkey Sandwich was tasty and came out quickly. The olive cucumber side salad was a nice touch as well. I didn’t get a chance to try it but it looks like they do hot chocolate the right way here too with the menu based on type of chocolate used. Maybe next time! Also shoutout to Vinisha and Andreea for the excellent service!”

“Chill 2 is a small restaurant, bar, and lounge on the ground floor of the hotel. It’s a nice spot to relax, grab a quick coffee, or have a bite to eat. I especially recommend the pizza. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”

“I really like the vibe of this place, I’ve been here a few times as its closer to the station to hang with colleagues after work. Their pizzas and drinks are good, however service is average. Staff doesn’t know what they are doing, always need to check with their managers even for basic questions and this has been the case always.”

“Ate here a few times when staying at the hotel since guests get 10% off their meal. First time I sat in for brunch and had eggs benedict with salmon and a cappuccino. One of my eggs was overcooked but the other was fine. On another evening I tried a pizza to go. Takes around 15-20 min to prepare. Nothing fancy but was decent size for the price. Food elsewhere would be better, but if not wanting to go far it is convenient.”
