About Indigo Coffee House
Indigo Coffee House is a coffee shop in Cambridge, at 8 St Edward's Passage, serving a menu of 25 dishes. Toasted panini and ciabatta sandwiches anchor the food, including a Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Egg Panini. Soup, with chowder among the choices, and a selection of vegan cakes sit alongside them, plus a Super Granola Bar. Signs inside warn that food brought in from elsewhere is not welcome, so orders come from the house menu. Dogs are welcome, which lets walkers bring a pet along. The interior is small, with limited space downstairs. Seating continues upstairs, where one spot sits by the window, and art hangs on the walls. The shop has no toilet of its own, and public toilets are just round the corner.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food and coffee at this small cafe off King's Parade, with the panini and ciabatta sandwiches named most. One describes a Brie, bacon and cranberry toasted panini, another a ham and cheese sandwich, and the soups and a chowder also get singled out as delicious. Close behind is the welcome, with staff called friendly, warm and very accommodating, and one reviewer noting they made half a sandwich on request. The coffee is called great and strong, and one reviewer mentions a large and varied selection of vegan cakes. Several say prices are good for the city centre. The main trade-off is space. Reviewers describe the room as small, with steep steps up to the seating upstairs, and one cautions that this matters for anyone with access needs. Signs warn that eating food from elsewhere will be met with "utter contempt", which some reviewers applaud as the cafe's independent spirit. Outdoor seating and a sunny window spot upstairs round out the picture.

“Lovely place to go for coffee in the city centre with seating upstairs and art on the walls. They don’t have their own loo but there are good public ones just round the corner. There are lots of signs up about how you will be treated with “utter contempt” if you try to eat food from elsewhere in it, which almost makes me want to try it, to see how contemptuous they can be :D”

“This is a little cafe tucked away in St Edward’s Passage. Great coffee, a cosy interior and a beautiful location hidden down a quiet historic lane. It’s a nice place to take a break from the busy streets and soak up the charm of Cambridge.”

“Came here with my brother for lunch and got the most lovely welcoming service from the staff! The food was delicious too and a really good price especially for nearish the city centre. Only thing I'd say is the space is a little small (and the steps upstairs are quite steep) which wasn't a problem but if you have access needs/disabilities I'd suggest keeping that in mind!! Lovely outside seating too :)”
