Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food itself, with big portions and beef in Szechuan sauce singled out, plus salt and pepper chicken wings that one large family order received as an extra. One diner describes authentically prepared dishes with no greasy slops, and another says orders arrive piping hot. Friendly staff come up in several reviews. The complaints centre on delivery and accuracy, and they carry real weight. Several describe food arriving very late, cold or lukewarm in soggy containers, and one says an order never showed up and a promised callback never came. Others report mistakes. Shredded crispy chicken ordered without sauce for children arrived smothered in chilli sauce. A beef chow mein came as dry noodles with bits of beef, and sweet and sour king prawn balls were hard and chewy. Gravy was sent instead of curry. A few call the set menus expensive for what arrives. One reviewer adds that the delivery driver brings lollipops for her daughter.

“Food has always been good here so we always use for Our Chinese Takeaway Treat... however on Friday 24th I ordered a Beef Chow Main... When it arrived it was warm but It wasnt a Chow Main as I expected it was Noodles with bits of Beef in... Chow Main we normally get in a Restaurant & other Takeaways have Broccoli... Carrot... Spring Onion... and a sauce... but this was dry and not quite up to scratch... We also ordered Sweet & Sour king prawn balls the Prawns hard and chewy ... Im surprised as as I say the food is normally good.”

“Order from here all the time however the past few times it has been ridiculous. A few weeks back it never showed up we called they said they would sort it but never called us back and we never received the food. After that we thought we would try again as it is our usual however since it has been up to 2 hours late each time and freezing cold, even tried ordering earlier as we know it is busy however it still came 2 hours late.”

“Amazing food. Amazing people. We always choose here when we have a family gathering so our order is for about 15 people, food is on time, always correct and always amazing. I had beef in sezchaun sauce and it was the best I’ve ever had. They threw in a portion of salt and pepper chicken wings which were also great. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.”

“Friendly service but it really was expensive for what you got :( I know cost of living has gone up but it would literally be cheaper to have a sit down meal at China Rose round the corner (which is really really good). Shave off a few quid from these set menus and it would be great.”
