Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the cooked breakfasts, with the big breakfast and the New York breakfast called satisfying and delicious. Close behind are a huge baked potato, tasty pancakes, ciabatta and a flat white one reviewer calls perfect. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, and the room is called clean, buzzing and spacious. Criticism is specific. Two reviewers found the cooking poor: fried eggs shaped in pastry cutters with a popped yolk, thin undercooked bacon, blended bubble and squeak, and fried toast that arrived soggy and cold, with one calling the breakfast pricey for its quality. Another reviewer's group found the garden cold, with heaters too far away. One reviewer reports that the milk tasted fishy, that they were then sick, and that the staff and owner told them not to return. Even a reviewer who calls it a little pricey says the food is good, and several mention plates arriving quickly.

“Such a lovely spot! From the moment we walked in, the staff were so friendly and down-to-earth. The food came out super quickly, beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back!”

“A little on the pricey side for a cafe but the food is good so worth it I guess”

“Went here for a breakfast with my dad and brother. All of us thought it was crap. My fried eggs were cooked in the pastry cutters and one had its yolk popped. The bacon was really cheap thin stuff not fully cooked The sausage had been obliterated. Fried bread wasn’t crispy enough. Bubble and squeak had been blended I reckon. Overall a really naff breakfast, poor ingredients, poorly cooked and charged at a premium.”

“As a long standing customer I will never be returning here as after I had my breakfast and a cup of tea I asked them to replace the tea as it tasted fishy , I couldn't put my finger on what tasted funny until I smelled the milk and even the second cup was fishy. The milk was definitely off. I then vomited repeatedly in the toilet and continued outside and I was then approached by the staff and owner and was told I was "mental" and not to return again . As if I would anyway after the poor customer service and intimidating behaviour. They tried to charge my friend for my bill and continued to be aggressive, I left and knew I had to leave this review as I own a business too and would never treat customers this way.”
