A store selling local products sits next door, and the other units alongside include a butcher, a hairdresser, and craft and plant sellers. The cafe is open daily, daytime only. Breakfast includes eggs benedict and a vegan breakfast of vegan sausages, hash browns and beans, and the vegan choices carry on through the day with a scone and a hot chocolate made with oat milk. The menu also lists a quiche of the day for lunch, alongside coffee that includes flat whites. Lunchtime is often busy, with a queue for tables inside.

Customer Review Summary
Warm, attentive staff are what most reviewers return to, and several call the service personable and efficient even when the café is busy. Food praise is specific: a vegan breakfast of vegan sausages, hash browns and beans, a vegan scone, goats cheese salad, tandoori chicken, the quiche of the day, delicious bacon, a strong flat white and an oat milk hot chocolate. One reviewer calls the prices reasonable for a farm shop. The complaints are fewer but detailed. One reviewer describes waiting to be seated despite free tables, then waiting again for menus and an order to be taken, and found one server dismissive. Another reports overcooked sausages, white toast instead of the granary requested, and poached eggs with raw whites. A third found the chips hard and dry and wished for air-con or fans in hot weather. One reviewer recalls the head waiter offering covered outside seats during a queue until an inside table came free.

“It’s a shame I feel the need to write this, as I’ve been here many times before and always had a lovely experience. Unfortunately, the man serving has really let the place down. We arrived yesterday afternoon to find several tables available, both inside and outside, so while it was busy, it certainly wasn’t overwhelming. We stood waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes. The staff were polite, but they weren’t allowed to seat us themselves and could only say that someone would be with us shortly. Eventually, he came over and pointed out a table for two, one we had already noticed as soon as we walked in. After being seated, it took another 10 minutes for menus to arrive, followed by a further wait with no one coming to take our order. It felt as though he was the only one permitted to handle customers, while the other staff were limited to clearing tables. His attitude came across as quite dismissive, and it unfortunately spoiled what has otherwise always been a great place to visit.”

“Ive been here a few times now, but I wanted to post about just how wonderful it is. The staff are always so lovely and attentive! Its usually busy, but if it wanted fast food, you should be a McDonalds. The service is always personable and the food delicious. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Stopped here on the way to Wimborne and found this gem. Really good foods at great prices for a farm shop. (Shop is good btw). There's also plenty of parking, would recommend.”
