Customer Review Summary

Reviewers single out the tuna tartare, with one calling it the best they have eaten, and the pork and green beans also draw praise. Small plates, a caipirinha and an open kitchen with beach views feature. Service is described as kind, though one finds it hit and miss on a busy Saturday and another found the food slow. A few call it pricey but worth it.

“A lovely meal with lots of innovative dishes. Fresh ingredients are key to this menu. Service is slightly hit and mis but I put that down to being a busy bank holiday Saturday evening. A tad pricey but think it’s worth it!”
  • Tess B
“The most delish small plates with an open kitchen, and views of the beach. Lovely, happy people working there. Had a VERY good caipirinha too. Dog friendly 🐾”

“27 Harbour Street is a wonderful example of how a concise menu can still deliver an exceptional dining experience. Although the menu is relatively small, every dish we tried was beautifully executed and packed with flavour. The tuna tartare was, quite simply, the best I have ever eaten. It is one of my favourite dishes and something I eat regularly, so I have very high expectations — and this was genuinely outstanding. The pork was equally impressive, cooked to perfection, while the green beans were beautifully presented and a real delight alongside the starters. The restaurant was in the process of transitioning its wine selection during our visit, but the team could not have been more accommodating. They happily offered us a selection of wines to taste, allowing us to make an informed choice, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. Our only regret was booking the latest available table. We would have happily stayed much longer, which is perhaps the best compliment we could give. A beautifully considered dining experience, with excellent food, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere that made us want to linger.”

“Food was very slow and definitely slight discrimination in the tone of the workers.”
