Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers praise friendly, welcoming staff and authentic Italian cooking. One diner describes a warm greeting after walking in off the street, and another says the team tailors meals to dietary requirements. The carne meat and tomato sauce is called to die for, and the rum pudding is named the best one diner has had. Families are told it suits them, and the atmosphere is called relaxed and beautiful. The food draws the only real criticism. One couple found the lasagna and Spaghetti Partenopei small in portion, with a single large prawn and very small mussels, and said that mentioning it led nowhere. Another table of four sent back the Ragout di Carne because the meat was all gristle. Still, the warmest accounts end with the hosts at the table. One party recalls the owners coming out to explain grappa and limoncello, and a German visitor ate there again two days after a first meal.

“The service and atmosphere was very good…..however the food was a real let down. We ordered the lasagna and the Spaghetti Partenopei. The portion sizes are tiny. The Spaghetti Partenopei had one king size prawn and the muscles were embarrassing small. In my opinion should not have even been served, we did over hear that the muscles as a starter were not available that night for some reason. As restaurant owners I would not have served them at all that night. We did mention it but nothing came of it. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Broadstairs that are better which we will stick to in future”
