About Forno Lounge
Forno Lounge is an eclectic restaurant in Broadstairs on Albion St, where a semi-indoor sheltered area and a conservatory with sofas look out over Viking Bay, the pier and the beach. Those seats give diners a view of the water while they eat, and the sheltered layout keeps them under cover. The menu includes tapas, with a tapas mix, and salad dishes such as an avocado salad. Vegan and gluten-free menus are offered alongside the main one, so guests with those dietary needs have their own section to order from. The drinks list covers cocktails, beer and latte. Board games are kept on hand for tables that want to play. Orders and payment go through the website from the table, with no separate app to download.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the view over Viking Bay and the welcoming staff, with the food and drinks close behind. Diners describe the avocado salad as delicious with large portions, and a tapas mix, beer and latte as good value. Cocktails get repeated praise, as do the desserts. Several call the prices reasonable and say food arrived quickly. The decor and the conservatory with its comfy sofas come up often, and one reviewer mentions the board games families play. Vegan and gluten free menus are noted as a big selection. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who found the tapas lukewarm, the chips cold and the garlic ciabatta greasy, and said the same happened at another venue in the chain. Others call the food excellent. One visitor describes the semi-indoor area as sheltered with sea views after the outdoor tables were full on a sunny day.

“My favourite place in Broadstairs, offering some of the best views over Viking Bay. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, and I love the décor—it adds to the whole experience. Most importantly, the staff are lovely, and Villiam, the manager, is especially friendly and welcoming. A great spot to enjoy the very best of Broadstairs. Highly recommended.”

“Great location but sadly the food let us down. Tapas was luke warm. Chips were cold. Gar ciabatta was greasy. 2nd time visiting one of this chain (Sarto in Sidcup) and experienced the same in both venues”

“My friends, family and myself have been coming here regularly since opening. The food has always been spot on and the drinks are delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive, but not overbearing like some places. Shout-out to a young guy who is there most weekends, I can't remember his name , Hudson or Harrison??who makes the best cocktails and is always smiley. The atmosphere is great and the decor welcoming and comfortable.”

“One of the absolute best spots in Broadstairs, with a stunning view over Viking Bay and a lovely outdoor seating area. What makes it truly special isn’t just the great food or the reasonable prices (especially for such a prime location) — it’s the people. The staff are genuinely welcoming, and Manager William sets the tone with his friendly, attentive approach. Everyone makes you feel right at home. Even Digby the dog can’t get enough of their breakfast! 😁”
