“We had a lovely lunch at The Jetty. The food was great, we had the steak, chicken and lamb and they were all delicious. The views were lovely, and the staff were really friendly. The wine bar is a nice touch too. We’ll definitely be visiting again”

“My husband and I dined at The Jetty for the first time on Friday 16 Oct 2026. The welcome from the gentleman on the bar set the lovely tone for the evening and directed us to his colleague, Joanne, to be seated. She duly seated us next to the window (sadly it was dark but the view over the bay would have been spectacular), explained the specials, gave us menus and asked if we would like water: a nice, professional and warm service. The menu is expansive with so much to choose from: a great selection of meat, fish and vegan/vegetarian dishes, both on the main menu and on the Specials Board, and thus spoilt for choice. We opted for scallops with black pudding and pea purée (me) and crab fish cake (husband) as starters, with mussels & fries (husband) and pan fried monkfish in a spinach & lentil dal with an onion bhaji (me) as mains. Starters came out quickly on nicely warm crockery, as did the Mains. All dishes were stunningly presented and tasted divine! My husband said the crab cake was delicious and the subsequent mussels were plump and some of the best he has tasted for a very long time and the number of fries were sufficient and not overwhelming. The pea purée with my scallops was fab - it still had whole peas scattered in it meaning a more interesting texture to the dish. My monkfish in the dal was sweet, well-cooked and the dal itself was incredibly tasty and creamy. My husband opted for the cheeseboard as dessert - again, beautifully presented with crackers, lengths of celery and fruit/berry pieces and ample amounts of 3 cheeses. The wine list was excellent - we went for a good Picpoul. This restaurant is delightful, good value for money and has amazing food. We will be returning to this charming gem!”
