About Wogan Coffee Roastery Shop & Brew Bar

On Clement St in Bristol, Wogan Coffee Roastery Shop & Brew Bar is a coffee roastery that sells its own house beans and single-origin beans to take home. A training campus runs coffee education and tours about the roastery's coffee, so visitors can learn as well as buy. The brew bar offers two espresso options each day, and the menu lists an oat flat white and an oat latte. Cakes and hot snacks sit alongside the coffee, with Basque cheesecake among them. The bar takes walk-ins, and guests who want to play a board game at the table can ask at the bar first.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return for the coffee itself, praising smooth, balanced house beans in an oat flat white and oat latte, a single origin with peach notes, and an iced latte made with a Rwanda bean. Close behind are the low prices for the quality and friendly, knowledgeable staff, including a bar worker who helped one table with the menu and tasting notes. Bags of beans also draw repeat mentions, among them a Sumatra mandheling one reviewer used for home brewing and another taken back to Indonesia. Basque cheesecake, cakes and hot snacks get a nod, as do the tours and coffee education. Not every verdict is glowing. One reviewer found the taste only fair, one noted slow service around noon, and another deducted a star for backing music so loud it got in the way of conversation. That same reviewer cautions that the parking sits on double yellow lines. Several praise the toilets, and one mentions a small outside garden. One table was welcomed to play a board game while they had coffees and cakes.

“Came here for an iced latte Friday and the Rwanda was really good. Also bought some Sumatra mandheling beans that were really nice for my home coffee.”

“A really good place to learn about coffee and a lovely little coffee shop. However, the parking is on double yellow so you have to be really careful...... Ine star was deducted because they have absolutely terrible backing music that's too loud. It really needs to be turned off so we can all enjoy drinking coffee and talking to each other without fighting with his music.....”

“Amazing experience from start to finish. Probably some of the best customer service I've ever received. Can't recommend them enough! Really really good coffee at a really good price point. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Special thanks to James and the rest of the team for looking after me!”

“Excellent stop for a coffee. Incredibly friendly service. I really liked the simplicity of the two espresso options for the day too. £2.80 for a flat white in 2026…incredible!”

“Love this place, friendly staff, clean and interesting environment and fab coffee. Nice cakes and hot snacks etc if you're feeling peckish. The toilets are fab with all you'd expect and it also has a small outside garden. That's it, there's nothing else to add as we love it as it is. Thanks all.”
