About Win Chef
Win Chef is a Chinese takeaway at 7 Greenhill Parade in Bristol, now under new owners after a recent takeover. The change brought a new menu, so customers who knew the place before will find a different list of Chinese dishes to order from. The kitchen opens in the evenings only, Tuesday to Sunday, and closes on Mondays. Weekends and the later part of the evening bring a high volume of orders, so the takeaway gets busy at those times.

Customer Review Summary
Generous portions and flavourful food draw most of the praise, with reviewers describing dishes as fresh, hot and good value. One regular singles out the orange chicken and liked the previous lemon chicken too, while another found the egg fried rice balanced and the salt and pepper chicken well made. Several say the new owners have brought a different menu with more dishes, one reports quick delivery, and one asks for patience on busy weekends because it is a family-run business. Opinion turns sharply critical after the takeover, though. One reviewer waited an hour and a half for a delivery, then was told another half hour, and another describes slow deliveries and forgetful staff. One found the tofu rock hard and overcooked, the portions small, and received no free prawn crackers. Another thought the food was not great and, after asking for chopsticks, was offered a wooden fork that never made it into the bag.

“Wasn’t great. I get that it’s a takeaway shop but the kid serving made it feel like a funeral, I asked for chopsticks, he offered a wooden fork and even then didn’t put it in the bag so I had no eating implement. Food wasn’t the best, sorry, just being honest.”

“The food is very delicious and the portions are generous. Please be a bit patient on weekends, as it’s a family-run business and they are often very busy with a high volume of orders.definitely worth to try.”

“New owners are good for us. We order by phone to pick up about 6pm as I understand it gets busy later. New owners should upload their new menu is different with more dishes. We particularly like the orange chicken (previous Win's lemon chicken was good too)”
