Customer Review Summary
Chow mein is the dish reviewers raise most. One praises the special chow mein for coming in separate containers so each flavour stands out, and another loves the beef chow mein with chips and curry sauce. A third found its sauce too watery. Close behind, the crispy chilli chicken, satay and prawn toast draw praise, and one reviewer liked the crispy duck. Portions are described as big, and a couple say orders arrive quickly, hot and fresh, with lovely drivers and a family running the place. Complaints centre on consistency. One reviewer found the chips dried out and solid, the shredded beef batter soggy and the hot and sour soup short on flavour. Another felt the chicken in yellow bean sauce tasted like sweet and sour, and one wanted more seasoning. A parent says the kids meal chips could feed three adults. One vegetarian dish arrived with bits of meat in it, and that reviewer found the reply argumentative when an apology would have sufficed.

“Not the best of meals. Chips were old and potatoe was dried out so much they were solid. Not much flavour in the hot and sour soup. Crispy duck was good. Shredded beef batter was soggy ,”

“Ordered beef Chow Mein chips and curry sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely order again.”

“Liked the chow mein although the sauce seemed too watery. Chicken in yellow bean sauce seemed wrong as it had a sweet and sour sauce.”

“I have never been in because my husband always collects, so can't really comment on atmosphere. But the food is the best Chinese around. Having gone off Chinese food in recent years due to overuse of MSG giving me insomnia this place has converted me. Have enjoyed every dish I've had there and never had any trouble sleeping after. The satay is especially delicious and the prawn toast superior to all others. Chinese has become my first choice of takeaway - but only from here!”
