  “Tried it after hearing good things, but it didn't really leave much of an impression. Perfectly okay Chinese food, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. Nothing was bad, but nothing really made me think "I need to come back for that." Pros: - Food was decent enough - Service was fine - Fair option if you're nearby - Portions were reasonable Cons: - Nothing really stood out - Not sure what their signature dish or speciality is - Didn't quite live up to the recommendation for me - Parking can be difficult as it's on a busy street”

  “My go to takeaway. They always do the classics well. Nice and fresh. However, do not get the coconut prawn! It's an experience I am unlikely to forget but would love to. Overall, good Chinese but unsure why they put dishes on their menu that they cannot cook.”

  “Still the best for takeaway Chinese food. Our first go to place. Always like this place and usually have set meals for two or more. On this occasion I ordered a favorite of mine, Special Chow Mein which was dry with no juice or sauce, there were no sliced chicken and pork on top as described, also it was very lacking in bean shoots, they we're hardly noticeable meaning no fresh crunch of bean shoots, just a pile of fairly dry noodles. I won't be ordering this again from here. It was tasty enough and was hot, delivery was ahead of time too. Can't fault this establishment other than this one meal was just not up to standard.”

  “Food was better than the other Chinese across the road. Ordered meal for 2 at £28 the starter platter, kungo po chicken and satay beef, rice. Good portions (enough for tomorrows lunch) and all things nice, only tough thing was the chicken skewers but all in all, enjoyed our meal especially at that price point. We will be back. Service on website and in person was fine.”

  “Purchased Singapore fried rice and king prawn in oyster sauce. The rice was just ok but there was zero sauce added to the oyster sauce I received. I was just eating raw vegetable and the broccoli isn’t fresh too. It was weird because I have purchased this type of meal several places and this one isn’t just it . I wanted to call them back but just let it go, Not a nice experience.”

  “We have used Laughing Buddha on many occasions and not had a problem but my experience tonight means I will never order from them again. Placed an order on their own website and the order was confirmed on the website. However, I did not get an email confirmation of the order. I called them to ask them to confirm whether they had received the order. The guy said he would check and phone back. When he called back he told me that they had not had the order. I sent him proof of payment and he refused to place our order. I was told that I would have to place my order again on line and pay again and I could claim a refund at a later date. When I said I was concerned that I was being scammed and that I wanted my food or money refunded they hung up on me. Phoned back and asked for a refund which they refused to do until the next day. Whilst on the phone arguing my case our food miraculously appeared on the doorstep. So they did have the order that they were so adamant they hadn’t received. This is a blatant attempt at trying to scam extra money from us.”

  “I usually love it here however i ordered on sunday. Beef chowein, egg fried rice ecr The beef was undercooked and old. The chowein had no sauce on it and extremely dry. The carrots were hard and not cooked. We received no prawn crackers and our order was £18.90 So sad because we usually love it here :(”

  “Saw a kid doing homework at the back the moment I stepped in. that's how I knew the food was gonna be phenomenal. Credits to the girl in glasses who took my order. She was super nice. Food came within 6-7 minutes”

  “This time, I ordered my personal favourite dish, Special Chow Mein, which was dry and lacking in juice or sauce. It also didn't have the sliced chicken and pork that were supposed to be on top, and the bean shoots were barely there, so there was no fresh crunch from the beans instead of just a pile of fairly dehydrated noodles. I'm not going to order this from this place again. Unfortunately not happy !”

  “We ordered a £54 order. The food didn't arrive so we called the restaurant. We weren't called and apparently the address was incorrect so we had to wait another 30 minutes for our food and they made us pay £3 extra for redelivery when it wasn't our fault. The most outrageous thing about this is that there was a piece of chicken in the vegetarian Singapore chow mein. This is gross contamination and any self respecting kitchen would never allow this. Its disgusting. All my life as a vegetarian for religious reasons and I found my food was contaminated with meat so I could not eat any of my food! Outrageous and so incompetent. Who knows how the kitchen staff handle food properly! The dish is advertised as vegetarian. A gross contamination like this in a other case could kill someone if they are allergic. Terrible, so disappointed.”
