About Dragon Chef
Dragon Chef is a Chinese restaurant at 42 Belland Dr in Bristol, run as a Chinese takeaway that also serves chip shop food. That means one order can mix Chinese dishes with chips, including salt and pepper chips, and a battered Mars bar is on the menu too. Tofu dishes give vegetarians something to choose from. The kitchen cooks food fresh to order, with a short wait when ordering by phone. Payment is mainly cash, and bank transfer is also accepted.

Customer Review Summary
Freshly cooked takeaway food in generous portions is what reviewers return for most, with noodles, rice, chicken balls and curry singled out, and the hand cut chips described as perfect. One reviewer says the tofu dishes suit a meat-free diner who dislikes the usual peppers and onions in vegetable curry. Several call the staff friendly and hard working, on the phone and in person. Some mention a short wait that they put down to food being cooked fresh. Complaints are specific. One reviewer ordered salt and pepper chips three times, asked twice for more seasoning, and still found them tasteless. Another asked for a cold Clarkes pie, received a frozen one, and was told to microwave it, so the rest of the meal went cold. One finds the sweet and sour sauce a little too sweet. Even so, one regular adds a battered Mars bar to every order.

“We have bought Twice here and I can honestly say it’s one of the best and freshest we have had. We went at 12 lunchtime both times as we like to have an early drink Friday (pensioners) and we reheat at dinner time not disappointed. Highly recommended”

“One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. My wife doesn't eat meat and doesn't like the usual peppers and onions in a veg curry or sweet and sour so we need a takeaway with tofu. Spot on here.”
