About The Cottage Inn, Bristol
The Cottage Inn, Bristol is a pub on Baltic Wharf in Bristol, with views over the harbour. The building dates to 1868, when merchants used it to store Baltic timber for the dock, and it now serves food and drink beside the water. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the harbour views from the outside seating, with the roast and the whitebait named as food highlights. Service is called friendly and great by several. The caveats are specific: one found the sea bass fillet very small for the money, another had lukewarm roast beef and gravy, and one met bad cask ale on two visits and switched to keg.

“All good, but the food could have been hotter,Roast Beef was lukewarm,Gravy lukewarm.i asked for extra gravy which also was lukewarm apart from that it was good”

“Visited recently for lunch, the whitebait were very good, largeish size fish in a good coating of breadcrumbs. My sea bass fillet must have gone on a crash diet just before it was caught!,(very small amount of meat), and therefore not at all good value for the money paid. However, location excellent, and beers all good. One point Which really gets my goat is that you have an excellent brew called goram zero alcohol. I've tried it and love it, now available at M&S, but you don't sell it in your own pubs on draught, (you used to) - sort it out!!”

“Bad real ale on my last 2 visits. If you want ale in good condition I recommend choosing keg rather than cask if it’s busy here. Fabulous views - some of the best in Bristol.”

“Boasting one of the best pub locations in Bristol, The Cottage dates back to 1868 and was used by merchants for storing Baltic timber for the growing number of businesses in the dock during that period. Today, it’s a buzzing pub with stunning views across the harbour from their terrace and a menu offering delicious takes on pub classics with a focus on seasonal ingredients, fresh fish and seafood. Behind the bar, expect a wide selection of craft beer and cask ale, and an exciting wine and cocktail list. Don't forget, takeaway is now available on selected pub classics!”
