  “Chips were from yesterday, disgusting taste, hard & ineadable!! Fish was so greasy even the seagulls won't eat it!! Staff need training in customer service, because they are shocking, when you complain you just get "oh" no appolagy nothing!!! Will not return again. They need reviewing by the food standards agency for sure!!”

  “Fish was cooked perfectly, as were the chips. I had Haddock and chips. I'd googled where to find somewhere that cooked fish and chips in dripping, so didn't know how good or bad it would be. I needn't have been concerned. The place was busy and I joined a queue. We managed to grab one of their tables. They are outside. A woman asked if she could take the spare seat. Got chatting and she was a local and said it's the only fish and chip shop she uses. As I said, the fish and chips were perfect.”

  “We got chips and gravy, good portion for price and the gravy was lovely. Only issue was the staff member that served us seemed moody, I work in the food industry so I understand having bad days but always have a smile on your face when serving is my number one rule.”

  “I have been here a few times over last couple of years, but recently very disappointing. Terrible fish and chips, all batter and no fish. And even the vinegar watered down so no taste. Staff not bothered just another customer, no customer service skills. Just terrible.”

  “Shambles...thought we would treat our elderly mom to fish and chips. It arrived. The chips were cold and fish looked like it had swam away from batter, leaving a scabby piece of fish. Mom said this was cold but did not want to complain. My sister went to inform the assistants who were about to offer exchange. Just then a faceless voice( a clueless human being (manager??) who was so busy cooking and could not bother to listen to our issue) piped up and said that we could not have exchange or money back as the fish was hot when it was served. I reiterated that it was cold when my mom began to eat it and informed them that I knew my rights. I informed the faceless thing that I wasn't after a free meal as the portion had hardly been eaten, but rather merely wanted an exchange. Suddenly after much debate about customer care, faceless wonder agreed to give my mom a newly cooked piece of fish that had managed to be cooked to our expectations, minus the chips. Would not recommend unless you have a burning desire for food poisoning and inadequate customer care. AVOID”
